The Basic Journalism Writing Skills course will begin in May 2011.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is recruiting students for a short-term training course on "Journalistic Writing Skills" (basic level), commencing in May 2011.

I. General Information

ButObject: Students who have graduated from or are currently studying at colleges/universities.TargetBy the end of the course, students will have acquired the basic knowledge and skills of journalism, specifically as follows:

• The landscape of Vietnamese journalism and career opportunities in the field of print media.
• Skills in identifying problems, gathering information, and evaluating journalistic information;
• Modern journalistic writing skills
• Interviewing skills as a professional operation for journalists, and interviewing as an independent genre of journalism;
• Basic journalistic genres include news articles, interviews, biographical sketches, feature stories, and investigative reports.

ButStudy time8 weeks. 3 sessions per week.TuitionTuition for students from outside the university: 2,200,000 VND; Tuition for students within the university (with student ID card): 1,800,000 VND; Tuition for alumni of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (with diploma): 2,000,000 VND.Using students' practice projects.Students' suitable and high-quality practical projects will be published on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and they will receive royalties according to current regulations.

II. Lecturers

Our instructors are highly qualified professionals, professionally trained in journalism and communication in advanced countries around the world, and experienced television, print, and online journalists currently working at central and Hanoi-based media organizations.

III. Graduation Certificate

The certificate is available in both Vietnamese and English, and is issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
