The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is recruiting students for a short-term training course in "Advanced Public Relations Skills," with a certificate awarded by the University, commencing in 2011.- Target Audience: This course is for professionals working in PR or Marketing in fields such as Investor Relations, Human Resources Management, Diplomacy, Communications, NGOs, Branding, Customer Service, Press Relations, and Event Organization; or for graduates/current students at colleges/universities who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in corporate public relations, marketing communications, and advertising. - Objectives: Upon completion of the course, participants will understand PR, its various forms, the context in which it is used, and traditional and current PR tools. Participants will grasp the methods and skills for building PR strategies (short-term, medium-term, and long-term). They will also understand how to organize internal PR activities, press conferences, and events. Finally, participants will understand the role and significance of communication management, the power of information, and effective communication management techniques. Lessons learned from the media management practices of major corporations worldwide. Simultaneously, developing awareness and skills in forecasting, preventing, and handling crises. - Training Program: Students will learn the following topics: + PR and various forms of PR. Differentiating PR from advertising and marketing communications. + Building short-term, medium-term, and long-term PR strategies. + Building and developing relationships with the media: Advanced interview and press response skills. + Internal PR + Event organization and press conferences. + Media management. + Forecasting, preventing, and handling media crises: strategies, tactics, prevention, and response. - Instructors: Experienced lecturers with professional and systematic training in media and public relations in advanced countries such as South Korea, the UK, and the Soviet Union from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, and experienced public relations experts from major media companies and corporations in Hanoi. - Course duration: 6 weeks. 3 sessions per week. - Application deadline: April 20, 2011. - Tuition fee: 2,500,000 VND/student/course.
