Teacher Training Course on Ho Chi Minh's Ideology

Authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training in document No. 10311/DH&SDH dated October 21, 2003, and with the aim of contributing to improving the quality of teaching staff for the subject of Ho Chi Minh Thought, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) is opening a training course for lecturers in the subject of Ho Chi Minh Thought (Course 6, 2011).

1. Target audience:

- Lecturers teaching the subject of Ho Chi Minh Thought at universities, colleges, vocational high schools, and vocational training centers. - University studentsGraduated (or will graduate in 2011)social sciences and humanities.

2. Curriculum:

The total duration is 35 credits (see bottom of page), allocated as follows: - Core courses: 18 credits. - Supplementary courses: 12 credits. - Extracurricular activities and learning outcome assessment: 5 credits.

3. Time, location, and format of study:

3.1. Time:Four months, from April to August 2011.3.2. Study location:at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.3.3. Learning methods:- Classroom activities: A specific plan will be provided when the class begins. - Independent study of materials as instructed. - Developing lecture outlines and participating in other extracurricular activities.

4. Teaching staff:

Professors, associate professors, doctors, and experts researching Ho Chi Minh's ideology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, and other central and Hanoi-based agencies.

5. Documentation procedures

5.1. The application documents include:- Certified copy of university diploma; - Certified copy of university transcript; - Letter of nomination from the managing agency (if any); - Application form (see bottom of page). For students graduating in 2011, confirmation from the training institution is required; upon completion of the course, students must submit a certified copy of their university diploma and transcript to be eligible to receive the Certificate.5.2.
