10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- An overview of some basic issues concerning Buddhism in Vietnam, Vietnamese Buddhism, Vietnamese folk beliefs, and their characteristics.
- To clarify the basis of formation, mechanisms of influence, and modes of expression of the relationship between Buddhism and Vietnamese folk beliefs.
- Analyze the characteristics of Mahayana Buddhist temples to clarify the combination of Buddhism and folk beliefs expressed within them.
- To identify the changing trends in the relationship between Buddhism and folk beliefs and to propose some solutions to promote cultural values in this relationship between Buddhism and folk beliefs in Vietnam.
11. Practical applications:
- This dissertation can be used as a reference for research and teaching on Buddhism, folk beliefs, and the relationship between them from a philosophical perspective.
- This dissertation can serve as a reference for religious management in general, and for Buddhism and folk beliefs in particular, in Vietnam today.
