- This thesis systematically analyzes the integration of Buddhism with the traditional worship beliefs of the people of Hanoi - people living in a region of significant importance to the country.
- The thesis points out the basis for the integration of Buddhism with the traditional worship beliefs of the people of Hanoi today.
- The thesis points out specific manifestations of the integration of Buddhism with the traditional worship beliefs of the people of Hanoi today through the study of actual locations: Hanoi families (in urbanized villages that have become wards: Trung Kinh Thuong village...), temples in Hanoi (Trung Kinh Thuong temple, Quan Su temple...),... during both holidays and festivals as well as on ordinary days.
- The thesis analyzes the cultural values of the integration of Buddhism with traditional worship beliefs. From this, it proposes solutions to preserve those cultural values.
