- Systematize and clarify the basic and important policies of the Party in leading and directing people-to-people diplomacy through two periods: 1991 - 2000; 2001 - 2010.

- To objectively and scientifically reconstruct the picture of Vietnam's people-to-people diplomacy from 1991 to 2010, clarifying the role, position, and contributions of people-to-people diplomacy in successfully implementing Vietnam's multilateral and diversified foreign policy, aiming to be a friend and reliable partner.

- Drawing lessons from 20 years of practical experience in the Party's leadership of people-to-people diplomacy, to serve the current and future foreign policy planning.

11. Practical applications:

- This dissertation serves as a reference document for research and teaching on the history of foreign relations, Vietnam's foreign policy, and related subjects.

12. Future research directions:

In the future, I will continue my research on the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially on the Party's foreign policy.

Firstly, the thesis is a systematization and clarification of the basic and important policies of Vietnam's Communist Party in the People to People Diplomacy over the two periods 1991 - 2000 and 2001 - 2010.

Secondly, the thesis has rebuilt objectively and scientifically the picture of People to People Diplomacy of Vietnam period from 1991 to 2010. This was the result of the Party's practical leading on People to People Diplomacy activities.

Thirdly, It's given an analysis and a number of comments, and shown practical experiences from the People to People Diplomacy implements under the leading of Vietnam's Communist Party during the past 20 years.

Finally, The thesis can be a reference for studying or teaching materials in the subjects of Vietnam foreign diplomacy history and foreign policy as well as to other related subjects.
