11. Summary of new results of the thesis:

- This is the first scientific work to present and systematize new, modern theoretical viewpoints in the field of language teaching linguistics, applied to teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language. These are issues of communication competence, theory of second language acquisition, communicative grammar, etc. The thesis has analyzed in detail the application of communicative grammar to teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language, specifically teaching imperative actions, in Vietnamese teaching textbooks for foreigners.

- The thesis has surveyed 03 sets of textbooks for teaching Vietnamese for foreigners that are popular in Vietnam today. The results of the thesis survey show the current status of teaching grammar content on imperative actions in current textbooks for teaching Vietnamese for foreigners, compared with the perspective of presenting and teaching communicative grammar.

- The thesis proposed an experimental design for the grammar content of Vietnamese imperative actions according to communicative purposes, illustrated by a specific grammar teaching process combined with practical testing and obtained positive results.

12. Practical application:

-The research results of the thesis will also contribute positively to the compilation of Vietnamese teaching materials for foreigners and be a useful reference for the work of compiling dictionaries, translating, interpreting, comparing Vietnamese with other languages, etc.

13. Further research directions:

-The results of the thesis help open up diverse implementation directions when applying the communicative perspective to other grammatical units in Vietnamese and are the basis for designing more comprehensive and complete Vietnamese teaching as a foreign language in the future.

These are the issues of communicative competence, second language acquisition theory, communicative grammar, so on. The thesis has analyzed in detail the application of communicative grammar in teaching Vietnamese as a foreign language, teaching Vietnamese directive acts in Vietnamese language textbooks.

- The thesis has examined 3 sets of Vietnamese textbooks for foreigners in Vietnam. The results of the thesis show that the current state of teaching grammatical content about Vietnamese directive acts in Vietnamese textbooks for foreigners today, compared with the point of view and presentation communicative grammar.

- The thesis proposes the experimental design of the grammatical content of the Vietnamese directive acts for several communication purposes, illustrated by an actual specific grammatical teaching process combining the assay and obtaining positive results

The results of the thesis will contribute positively to the teaching as well as the development of Vietnamese teaching materials for foreigners. At the same time, the results of the thesis may also be useful references for dictionary compiling, translating, interpreting, comparing Vietnamese and other languages.

- From the results of the thesis, it helps to develop diversified orientations when applying communicative perspectives to other grammatical units in Vietnamese and is the basis for the more complete design of Vietnamese language teaching in the future.
