10. Summary of thesis results:
Traditional festivals of the two countries have similarities in terms of time of organization and content of activities, while there are many differences in the level of importance and form of organization of those festivals.
The ancestor worship beliefs of Vietnam and China were both developed under two major contexts, one is the “filial piety” culture of Confucianism, the other is agricultural civilization. The main differences are focused on the form of worship and the time of holding festivals.
The festival of worshipping gods is held in almost all important traditional holidays of the two countries. There are some gods of the two countries that have the same origin and similar “functions”, but the legends and forms of rituals are different.
The image of the Holy Mother in the legends of the two countries is quite similar. This feature helps us to know the similar social phenomena of a certain period in the historical development of the two countries.

Traditional festivals of the two countries have similarities in terms of time of organization and content of activities, and differ in the level of importance and organization.
The ancestor worship beliefs of Vietnam and China both developed under two major contexts, one is the "Filial piety" culture of Confucianism, the other is agricultural, the difference mainly focuses on the form of worship and the time of the festival.
Most of the festivals are held in every important traditional festival of the two countries, there are some gods of the two countries that are from the same source and have similar "functions", but their legends and rituals are different.
