Students of the Faculty of Literature are always provided with the best conditions to improve their professional knowledge as well as their moral and physical training. Students can attend book introductions by writers and researchers as well as participate in seminars and professional exchange presentations by scholars, researchers and professors at home and abroad. Here, students have the opportunity to study and exchange professional knowledge in an open and always updated academic environment.
The scientific research movement of students of the Faculty of Literature has always been maintained strongly. The Faculty of Literature is one of the faculties that contributes to the student scientific research movement with high-quality professional reports. In the 2022-2023 school year, the Faculty of Literature has 23 scientific reports. Of these, 6 reports won high prizes and were selected to attend the School-level Scientific Conference. After the School-level Conference, 2 reports were selected to attend the National University level.
Along with cultivating professional knowledge, the Faculty of Literature also pays special attention to training students' ethics, physical fitness and spirit. The Faculty has established clubs to create an environment for students to exchange and learn, such as the folk culture club, the cinema club, and the calligraphy club. In parallel, the Faculty of Literature has continuously organized extracurricular activities related to the major such as the Faculty of Literature's extended drama night (once a year), poetry nights, introducing traditional culture, and film screenings for students. The Union - Association has organized many movement activities such as the Han Nom in Me writing contest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Han Nom major, film screenings and exchanges with international students of Beijing Foreign Studies University, the Grand Chess USSH 2023 intellectual sports tournament (co-organized with the Faculty of History), essay writing contests, volunteer activities in and outside Hanoi. In particular, the Faculty of Literature also cooperates with units outside the school to organize cultural activities to help students have more awareness of preserving and developing intangible cultural values of the nation such as: cooperating with the Vietnam Cheo Theater and the Hanoi Cultural Foundation in the Cheo 48h Project to open experiential classes on Cheo, Xam and Trau Van; organizing the national music program "Ha Thanh Ba Thuy Sau Pho Phuong"; coordinating with the Department of Culture and Sports to organize the program "Experience of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage 2016", ... These activities have opened up an interesting and useful learning and playing environment, creating conditions for students of the Faculty of Literature to exchange and learn in a positive, proactive and creative way.
