Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son, received his PhD in Automation Engineering from Dresden University of Technology, Germany in 1998.
After graduating with a doctorate, he worked as a lecturer at Hanoi University of Science and Technology since 2000 and was recognized as Associate Professor in 2006. He has held various positions at Hanoi University of Science and Technology: Head of Training Department (2008); Vice Principal (2014); Party Secretary, Principal (2015); Party Secretary, Chairman of the School Council (August 2020).
In October 2020, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son has made important contributions to promoting innovation in higher education, improving the quality of training and university governance. With extensive experience as a lecturer, and in management positions at the department, school and ministerial levels, he has brought innovative thinking, strategic vision and modern approaches to the management and development of higher education.
With extensive experience in educational management and outstanding achievements during his time working at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education and Training, he is expected to continue to develop Hanoi National University strongly, affirming its position as a core training and research center in Vietnam and standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading educational institutions.
On the same day, the Prime Minister signed and issued Decision No. 1889/QD-TTg to appoint Prof. Dr. Le Quan, Chairman of the Council and Director of Hanoi National University, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
