In 2022, the work received a Level B Award from the Secretariat of the Central Committee at the Award Ceremony for works of literary and artistic theory and criticism published in 2021. This is an important recognition for works that directly serve the leadership orientation of the Party and the State in the field of literature and art.

Based on professional practice, at the scientific conference '
Vietnamese and Chinese culture and literature in the context of the digital ageOrganized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Chinese Association of Taiwan (China), in Hanoi on April 1-2, 2023, the need for a Vietnamese literary history work to be translated and introduced in Taiwan (China) to represent the voice of Vietnamese scholars abroad was raised by Professor Tran Ich Nguyen - a leading expert on Vietnamese studies in Taiwan. Following the conference, with direct professional consultation from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Khanh Thanh (Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism), and the support from Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the project to introduce and translate the work was launched.
A Brief History of Vietnamese LiteratureIt was launched on the basis of cooperation between the following parties: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien, then Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature and Director of the Center for Chinese Studies), National Cheng Kung University (Prof. Tran Ich Nguyen), and Hanoi Pedagogical University (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Pedagogical University Publishing House).

In July 2023, discussions regarding procedures and copyright issues with publishers began. In January 2024, a team of translators, selected and assembled from reputable training and research institutions nationwide, commenced work. The core of the translation team consists of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Oriental Studies), in collaboration with scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (Faculty of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies) and National Cheng Kung University (Faculty of Chinese Literature). By early 2025, the entire translation was completed into Traditional Chinese and sent to Wanquanlou Publishing House in Taiwan for editing and proofreading.

A Brief History of Taiwanese LiteratureProfessor Tran Ich Nguyen and Associate Professor Nguyen Thu Hien organized a special issue in the journal.

A Brief History of Vietnamese LiteratureTranslated into Traditional Chinese and published in Taiwan, this work is the result of a long-standing collaborative journey between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan, China), with the particularly important academic connecting role played by Professor Tran Ich Nguyen, a scientist who has dedicated his entire life to researching Vietnamese culture and literature, and who has continuously strived to connect and build a community of Vietnamese culture and literature researchers in Taiwan.
The success of the project to introduce and translate the work "A Brief History of Vietnamese Literature" to the world demonstrates the pioneering spirit and responsibility of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in promoting international academic exchange in basic scientific research. It also reflects the open-mindedness and liberal vision of the University in connecting and building a network and team of academic researchers in Vietnam. Contributing to this success, the faculty members of the Department of Literature (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien, MSc. Nguyen Thanh Dien, Dr. Ngo Viet Hoan) have demonstrated national responsibility, affirmed their international academic capabilities, and enhanced the unit's position on the world academic map.
