University of Social Sciences and Humanities provides career guidance and admissions counseling for 2020.

During the period 2015-2020, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities achieved significant accomplishments in many areas, successfully fulfilling the set targets. The university's Party Committee identified policies and solutions to ensure leadership in professional activities, including significant innovations in university admissions and training during the 2015-2020 period. The university established a specialized admissions department within the Training Department; diversified forms of promotion and admissions counseling; developed management and training organization processes; and adjusted the planning of majors and specializations to create new, appropriate training programs. The university implemented many policies to support the development of its faculty; and increased investment in facilities serving training. Strengthening relationships with agencies, businesses, political and social organizations... As a result, university admissions attracted a large number of applications, increasing from 17,478 (2015) to 39,980 (2019); the number of admitted and enrolled students increased from 1,439 (2015) to 2,186 (2019). Notably, in recent years, the university has established and signed cooperation agreements with more than 100 domestic and international partners, including many prestigious universities, research institutes, and scientific organizations. Efforts to attract foreign lecturers have been intensified, with over 170 foreign experts coming to teach and conduct research. Many university staff members have been sent to study, teach, and participate in exchange programs at advanced universities around the world; hundreds of students have received scholarships from international and domestic organizations. Many students have the opportunity to study, exchange, and interact at universities and partner institutions abroad.

The university has maintained and enhanced its position and prestige as a leading research university in the social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The university's scientific staff has led and implemented 309 scientific research projects at various levels. Many experts have been assigned to lead the implementation of component tasks under major state scientific programs such as: the Political Theory Research Program for the period 2016-2020; the Key Research Program on Social Sciences and Humanities serving socio-economic development… In addition, the university has organized more than 50 major international scientific conferences, published six monographs with international publishers, and 250 articles in prestigious international journals. Through these research activities, the level of expertise of the staff, especially lecturers and young researchers, has been improved.

To achieve the above results, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always focused its leadership on training high-quality, highly skilled human resources; research, innovation, and knowledge dissemination; actively expanding domestic and international cooperation; attracting and diversifying resources for development; and prioritizing Party building and the development of staff, especially leading experts with international qualifications. In addition, the Party Committee has led the preparation and proactive mobilization of resources towards a partially autonomous university; and prepared the necessary infrastructure and conditions for the development of a smart university.

As a member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and a training center with a long tradition and prestige, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has consistently innovated over the years, ensuring the quality of education and applying advanced management and training methods to create high levels of interconnectedness and linkages between different levels and disciplines. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities always aims for comprehensive development, ensuring that learners are not only equipped with theory and methodology, knowledge and skills, but also educated on professional responsibility, social responsibility, ethics, lifestyle, values, and humanistic spirit. In the new term 2020-2025, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will focus on leadership solutions to create strong momentum for building and developing the university towards a research university. Preparing human resources, financial resources, physical and technical infrastructure, and a proactive spirit in university autonomy in accordance with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; developing a team of experts, especially leading experts; building policies to support and promote the strengths of basic science disciplines, creating a superior scientific identity with high-level training programs in the country; supporting the development of applied and experimental disciplines. The university diversifies its admission methods based on the regulations of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi to attract high-quality students; promotes scientific research, creating high-quality and distinctive products in social sciences and humanities...; effectively applies advanced university management models and methods, diversifies material resources; continues to lead the application of the ISO quality management system to all units within the university.
