University of Social Sciences and Humanities provides career counseling in 2020
During the period of 2015 - 2020, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities achieved important achievements in many fields, successfully completing the set targets. The Party Committee of the school has identified policies and solutions to ensure leadership of professional activities, in which, the work of enrollment and university training in the period of 2015 - 2020 has many innovations. The school has established a specialized enrollment department under the Training Department; diversified forms of promotion and enrollment consulting; built a training management and organization process, adjusted industry and major planning to build new, suitable training programs. The school has had many policies to support the development of the teaching staff; increased investment in training facilities; Strengthening relations with agencies, businesses, political and social organizations... Therefore, university admissions attracted many applications from 17,478 (in 2015) to 39,980 (in 2019); the number of admitted and enrolled candidates increased from 1,439 (in 2015) to 2,186 (in 2019). Notably, in recent times, the school has built and signed cooperation documents with more than 100 domestic and international partners, including many prestigious universities, research institutes, and scientific organizations. Activities to attract foreign lecturers have been enhanced with more than 170 foreign experts coming to teach and research. Many school staff have been sent to study, teach, and exchange cooperation at advanced universities around the world; hundreds of students have received scholarships from international and domestic organizations; Many students have the opportunity to study, exchange and interact at foreign universities and partners.
The school has maintained and promoted its position and prestige as a leading university in research in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The school's scientific staff has presided over and organized the implementation of 309 scientific research topics at all levels. Many experts have been assigned to lead the implementation of component tasks of major scientific programs of the State such as: Political theory science research program for the period 2016 - 2020; Key research program on social sciences and humanities serving socio-economic development... In addition, the school has organized more than 50 major international scientific conferences, published six monographs in international publishers, 250 articles in prestigious international journals. Through research activities, the qualifications of the staff, especially lecturers and young researchers, have been improved.
To achieve the above results, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always identifies the task of focusing on leadership in training high-quality, highly qualified human resources; researching, creating and disseminating knowledge; actively expanding domestic and international cooperation; attracting and diversifying resources for development; attaching importance to Party building and developing staff, especially leading experts with international qualifications. In addition, the Party Committee of the school has led the preparation and proactive use of all resources to move towards a partially autonomous university; preparing the necessary facilities and conditions for the development of a smart university.
As a member of VNU, and at the same time a training center with tradition and prestige, in recent years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always innovated, ensured training quality, applied advanced management and training organization methods to create high connectivity and connection between levels and fields of study. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities always aims for comprehensive development goals, learners are not only equipped with theories and methods, knowledge and skills but also educated about professional responsibility, social responsibility, ethics, lifestyle, values and humanistic spirit. In the new term 2020 - 2025, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities focuses on leadership solutions to create strong momentum for the construction and development of the school in the direction of a research university; Prepare human resources, financial resources, technical facilities, spirit, be proactive in university autonomy according to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; develop a team of experts, especially leading experts; build support policies, promote the strengths of basic sciences, create outstanding scientific identity with high-level training programs of the country; support the development of applied and experimental fields. The school diversifies admission methods on the basis of VNU's regulations to attract quality input sources; promote scientific research, create high-quality, unique products in social sciences and humanities...; effectively apply advanced university management models and methods, diversify material resources; continue to lead the application of the Quality Management System according to ISO standards to all units in the school.
