Towards the 28th Party Congress of the University

Inheriting the 75-year tradition of the Faculty of Literature and drawing on 25 years of experience in building and developing, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi), continues to strive to affirm its prestige and position as a leading training and research institution in social sciences and humanities in the country.

The Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held on June 27, 2020, adopted a Resolution containing many important contents for the University's development strategy for the 2020-2025 term. The following are some of the main points:

Since its establishment in 1995, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has held seven congresses. Each congress has marked significant transformations in the Party Committee's development, aligned with its overarching goal of becoming a leading research and training center in the social sciences and humanities nationwide, making a worthy contribution to the nation's development.

Following the motto "Pioneering - Innovation - High Quality - High Proficiency" for the 2015-2020 term, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, successfully achieved and exceeded 11 targets set in the Congress Resolution, effectively implementing the orientation of becoming the leading research university in the country in social sciences and humanities.

On June 27, 2020, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), VNU Hanoi, held its 28th Party Congress to evaluate the results of leadership in implementing the Resolution of the 27th Party Congress of the University for the 2015-2020 term and to determine the direction and tasks for leading the University in the 2020-2025 term.

As a Party member with 40 years of Party membership, the Chairman of the University's Veterans Association, and former Secretary of the Party Branch of the Faculty of Management Science, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Van Hai shared his deep affection for the University's Party Committee and his concerns about what the older generation needs to do to help the younger generation of lecturers and students continue the academic tradition of a leading university, bringing the University to a new level of development in the coming period.

Over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has consistently strived to affirm its prestige and position as a leading training and research institution in social sciences and humanities in the country. Beyond improving the quality of leadership, management, and teaching, the university has also made significant contributions to advisory work, helping to develop new guidelines, policies, and strategies that are relevant to the country's development.

The Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was established on December 22, 2001. It is a socio-political organization under the direct leadership of the Party Committee and the management of the University's Board of Directors, and is affiliated with the Hanoi City Veterans Association.
