From May 20th to 22nd, 2022, young staff members from the Administrative Block participated in a political study and activity program in Cao Bang (referred to as "Returning to the Roots").

The "Back to the Roots" activity, organized by the Youth Union of the Administrative Block, aimed to practically celebrate the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022) and the successful conclusion of the 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term 2022-2024. The delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh, Vice Rector of the University; representatives from the functional departments of the Administrative Block; members of the Youth Union of the Administrative Block; former Youth Union members; and family representatives.

During their trip to Cao Bang, the delegation visited landmarks and areas associated with the Vietnamese Revolution: the Pac Bo National Special Historical Site; the Kim Dong Historical Site and Ban Gioc Waterfall.

The Pac Bo Special National Monument Complex, located in Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province, 52 km north of Cao Bang city center, is the starting point (km 0) of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The delegation offered incense in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh and held a ceremony to celebrate the coming-of-age of the Youth Union members of the Administrative Staff Branch. On this occasion, 9 members of the Administrative Staff Branch celebrated their coming-of-age. Immediately after the ceremony, the delegation received guidance on the historical site with locations associated with President Ho Chi Minh's activities: Karl Marx Mountain, Lenin Stream, Coc Po Cave, etc.; and offered incense in remembrance of martyr Kim Dong (Nong Van Den) - the first leader of the Children's National Salvation Team of Vietnam.

At the end of the trip, the group visited Ban Gioc Waterfall and Truc Lam Ban Gioc Zen Monastery.

The "Back to the Roots" activity helped create opportunities for interaction and connection among young staff members of the Rectorate. Through this, it allowed for understanding and listening to the thoughts and aspirations of staff members regarding activities for young staff members in the Rectorate in particular, and the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in general.
