Promoting the intelligence and creativity of young people to implement Youth Month 2022

Speaking at the ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Anh Tuan said that Youth Month 2022 has a very special meaning, taking place in the second year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, in the context that the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are making efforts to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, both preventing the pandemic and restoring and developing the economy. In particular, this is the year of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 11th National Youth Union Congress. "Therefore, the Central Youth Union Secretariat chose this year's theme as "Creative Youth", aiming to strongly promote this quality of young people, contributing to creating works, tasks, products, and ideas of young people participating in socio-economic development and protecting the Fatherland, joining hands with the community", said comrade Tuan.

To carry out many meaningful and practical projects and tasks during Youth Month, Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, requested that union members and young people nationwide promote their intelligence and creativity to implement 4 groups of key activities suitable to local and unit conditions.

Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan suggested that the Youth Union at all levels focus on drastic solutions to complete the work targets during the term of the 11th Congress of the Youth Union; the goals, targets and tasks identified in the Youth Union work program, youth and children's movement in 2022 and the contents, tasks and solutions in the Youth Union's action program to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. In addition, it is necessary to study and pilot a number of new models and activities from Youth Month 2022; thereby creating a synthesis material, proposing new work contents suitable to the needs and aspirations of young people, creating a premise for effectively implementing the work of the Youth Union and youth and children's movement in the coming term. “For each specific field, youth activities, projects and tasks must proactively, responsibly and effectively participate in the economic recovery and development process, contributing to ensuring national defense and security in the locality and unit; focusing on the grassroots, having widespread influence, attracting the active participation of youth and the community”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, assessed that the theme "Creative Youth" demonstrates the high level of action and pioneering role of youth, creating new space and motivation for youth to promote their pioneering and creative role in participating in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and proactively integrating internationally.

The Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission requested that units attach importance to and promote activities to educate revolutionary ideals, traditions, patriotism, and national pride for young people. Youth Union chapters at all levels should promote the spirit and creativity of young people, pioneer in research, apply achievements, effectively utilize positive factors from the fourth industrial revolution; and actively participate in the national digital transformation process.

In particular, young people participate in social security activities, serve the people, contribute to national construction; actively participate in the Government's COVID-19 vaccination campaign to "safely and flexibly adapt, effectively control the epidemic, both prevent and fight the epidemic and restore and develop the economy and society.

Comrade Hoai also suggested that the Youth Union at all levels focus on building a strong Youth Union in terms of ideology, politics, organization and action, worthy of being a reliable reserve force of the Party. In particular, it is necessary to pay special attention to the quality of Youth Union cadre work, creating a source of young cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity and prospects to introduce to the leadership agencies of the Party and the government. "From the vivid and rich reality of Youth Month, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union needs to discover new factors, typical advanced models to nurture, promote, select and introduce many outstanding Youth Union members for the Party to consider admitting, supplementing the source of young vitality for the Party".

During Youth Month 2022, four key groups of activities will be focused on implementation, including: propagating and educating about the glorious traditions of Vietnamese youth and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; organizing activities to promote the spirit of creativity and volunteering for the community of young people; organizing activities to accompany young people in starting a business, establishing a career, and integrating internationally; caring for and supporting young people; building a strong Union, expanding the solidarity front, and gathering young people.

In addition, 6 students with difficult circumstances, excellent academic and activity achievements were also honored to receive scholarships from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association.
