The 11th Congress of the School Youth Union, term 2022 - 2024 was a great success.

At 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, the 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities officially took place. The congress was held in 2 sessions: session 1 on the morning of May 14, 2022 and session 2 (solemn session) in the afternoon of the same day at the 8th floor Hall of Building E.

On the side of the higher-level delegation, there were the presence of: Comrade Truong Ngoc Kiem - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of VNU; Comrade Vu Thi Minh Hang - Deputy Head of the Youth Union of Hanoi City Youth Union; Comrade Hua Thanh Hoa - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of VNU; Comrade Nguyen Hoang Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of VNU, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Foreign Languages, VNU.

On the side of the Party Committee and the School Board of Directors, the Congress was honored to have the attendance and direction of: Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of the School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Standing Member, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Vice Principal of the School; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh - Vice Principal of the School.

With representatives of the Youth Union of other units, representatives of sister units and organizations, representatives of leaders of departments and functional offices under the School, former officers of the School Youth Union of all periods, and 200 official delegates representing 8,198 youth union members of the School Youth.

In session 1, the Congress listened to the presentation on the topic "Some outstanding issues in organizing volunteer activities and proposed solutions" by comrade Pham Quang Vu - LCĐ of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. At the same time, the Congress also listened to the presentation on the topic "Improving knowledge of creative startups associated with intellectual property rights for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities" by comrade Le Thi Phuong Anh - Vice Head of the Startup Support Community Club and comrade Vu Thi Ha Trang - Head of the Intellectual Property Club of Humanities. The opinions of the above comrades as well as the comments of the delegates attending the Congress are all constructive, of special significance for the work of the Union and the youth movement of the school in the context of digital transformation.

Also in the first session, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the School Youth Union for the 2022-2024 term. After a period of serious vote counting, the list of 21 comrades elected to the Executive Committee of the School Youth Union for the 2022-2024 term was announced. The 21 comrades are all excellent and enthusiastic Youth Union officials who have made many contributions to the youth of Nhan Van. The Congress also elected the Secretary of the School Youth Union for the 11th term directly at the Congress, along with the Delegation attending the Congress of the VNU Youth Union. After more than 4 hours of effective and serious work, the first session of the Congress ended successfully.

In the afternoon of the same day, the second session of the Congress was held. The Congress atmosphere was rich in emotion with the song “Heal the World” - with the message “Make it a better place for you and for me”, receiving the response of all delegates attending the Congress.

The Congress approved the Report on the results of session 1 and the working program of session 2. Comrade Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the School Youth Union, term X, represented the School Youth Union Executive Committee, term X, to present the summary report for the 2019 - 2022 term. Although the school's Youth Union work in particular and the activities of the Humanities youth in general were severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Youth Union movement still achieved many impressive achievements and left a strong humanistic mark in the fields of volunteer activities, learning activities...

In session 2, the Congress continued to listen to presentations with high application value: the presentation "Practice and some solutions to support learning and scientific research of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (Case study of the WE PASS model and the Green Torch Student Scientific Research Award)" by comrade Nguyen Kim Tung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, term X and the presentation "Improving digital capacity for youth union members" by comrade Nguyen Thuy Duong - Vice Head of the Digital Version Humanities Club.

Also in session 2, the new School Youth Union Executive Committee was officially introduced to the Congress. Comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the School Youth Union, term XI, represented the speech and expressed the high determination of the Executive Committee in the new term.

Besides, the Congress also experienced emotional moments when expressing gratitude to the Executive Committee of the previous term, saying goodbye to comrades who had been attached to each activity of the School Youth Union in the past term. Comrade Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the School Youth Union, term X, represented the Executive Committee of the previous term to speak and inspire the Executive Committee of the new term.

The Congress also received close and meaningful instructions from the leaders at higher levels. Dr. Truong Ngoc Kiem - Secretary of the VNU Youth Union highly appreciated the results that the University Youth Union Executive Committee had achieved in the past term, and affirmed that the University Youth Union was always proactive, with many practical proposals and innovations. In addition, Dr. Truong Ngoc Kiem expected that in the new term, the University Youth Union Executive Committee would continue to pay attention to and improve the quality of Youth Union activities and youth movements.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Principal of the School further emphasized the spirit of solidarity in the work of the Union and the youth movement. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan also hoped that the spirit of "Humanities as the foundation, modernity as the trend" would continue to be promoted and implemented more strongly among the youth of Humanities.

After two effective and serious working sessions, the 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities officially closed at 5:00 p.m. the same day.
