Opening Ceremony of the 2022 On-site Self-Defense Platoon Training Course of the University of Natural Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

Attending the opening ceremony were Major Nguyen Xuan Lam, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Thanh Xuan District Military Command. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal, Commander of the Military Command of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Principal, Political Commissar of the Military Command of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh (Party Committee Secretary, Principal, Commander of the Military Command of the University of Natural Sciences) and Dr. Tran Manh Cuong (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Personnel and Personnel Department, Political Commissar of the Military Command of the University of Natural Sciences). Also attending the opening ceremony were soldiers from the Self-Defense Platoons of the two schools.

In the opening speeches, the leaders of both schools emphasized the purpose and significance of the key training session in 2022. The schools will create conditions for lecturers, officers and soldiers of the Self-Defense Platoon to complete the training session without affecting their professional work.

Major Nguyen Xuan Lam, on behalf of the Thanh Xuan District Military Command, thanked the Board of Directors of the two schools for creating conditions to organize the training session for the Self-Defense Platoon, in accordance with the plan for 2022. Major Nguyen Xuan Lam also noted that the soldiers participating in this training session need to maintain good health, ensuring the completion of the content, especially outdoor training in quite harsh weather conditions. In addition, during the training period, it is necessary to absolutely ensure the safety of people and weapons, and safety when participating in traffic on the road.

On behalf of the soldiers participating in the training session, comrade Pham Hoang Long, Squad Leader of the University of Natural Sciences, spoke and took an oath, clearly stating his determination to participate in the training session with the most positive spirit and attitude, and to complete all training contents with high results.

According to the training plan approved by the Thanh Xuan District Military Command, the training will take place over 7 days (from June 27, 2022 to July 5, 2022), with the following contents: team command; chemical defense (chemical, biological weapons, mines, grenades, etc.); gun disassembly and assembly; military medicine, wound dressing. Theoretical content will be discussed in the hall, practical content will be organized in the yard of the University of Natural Sciences.
