The Presidium includes: Associate Professor, Dr. Lam Ba Nam, Associate Professor, People's Teacher Vu Duong Ninh, Associate Professor, Meritorious Student Nguyen Van Ham chairing the Congress.
Prof. Dr. Vu Duong Ninh (Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers of the School, Term III) on behalf of the Association's Executive Committee reported an overview of the activities accomplished during Term III.
The report stated: During the past term, the Association has organized many activities and annual meetings to contribute to improving the spiritual life of its members, connecting the generation of retired teachers with the staff and students of the school. Although the Covid situation has been very complicated in the past two years, the Association has still tried to maintain meetings and exchanges between members, visiting members when they are sick or in funerals. Members of the Association have actively participated in the school's common activities in the fields of training, scientific research, participating in scientific councils... Teachers have participated in many activities in the locality where they reside. To achieve these successes, first of all, it is due to the enthusiastic participation of all members, the connecting, exemplary role and very responsible participation of the branch presidents and teachers in the liaison committees of the branches. Besides, an important reason is the attention of the Association of Former Teachers and the Trade Union of Hanoi National University, the companionship and facilitation of the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the leadership and alumni associations of the faculties.
Regarding the direction of activities in the next term, the Report emphasizes the main tasks: supplementing the list of members, immediately after teachers retire; ensuring smooth communication channels between members, increasing scientific seminars, cultural and artistic activities, etc. to attract the participation of a large number of members.
Speaking at the Congress, Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Dinh Van Duc (Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers of Vietnam National University, Hanoi) congratulated and highly appreciated the results that the Association of Former Teachers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has achieved in the third term as well as in the past many years, which has greatly contributed to the overall success of the Association of Former Teachers of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Dinh Van Duc speaks at the Congress
After listening to the Reports, the delegates attending the congress had very lively, open and friendly discussions. All opinions highly appreciated and acknowledged the significance of the Association's activities during the past term, which have connected, encouraged and improved the spiritual life of the teachers and members, helping the members to continue to contribute to the school in professional work (training, scientific research). Mr. Nguyen Hung Vy (representative of the Association of the Faculty of Literature, Language and Journalism) shared: the connection between former teachers who have worked together for 30, 40 years is "salty", an extremely valuable asset that we inherit and have the responsibility to cultivate to become deeper and more connected. The profession of research, writing and translation is very advantageous in continuing to work and develop after teachers have retired. Therefore, former teachers need to continue to promote their creativity to contribute to the school, society, "repay the people" and improve the spiritual life of the members themselves. Mr. Bui Van Lung (representative of the Foreign Languages Faculty Association) was very moved to share: despite many difficulties in the establishment process, the retired teachers of the Faculty tried to contact and establish the association, then carried out many meaningful activities. That was possible thanks to the dedicated and responsible liaison committee, ready to participate in maintaining the connection between members; the companionship, care and very effective support of the Faculty's Alumni Association. This is the experience that the Foreign Languages Association has achieved and wishes to share with other associations.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thanh shared his experience from the actual activities of the association to ensure the activities of the Association of Teachers are regular and effective.
Mr. Nguyen Van Anh (representative of the Association of Faculty of Law, Law, International Relations, and Political Science) emphasized: the professional activities of former teachers are a very special activity of the Association of Former Teachers of the School of Humanities, not many schools can do it, so we hope that teachers will try to promote it.
Mr. Nguyen Thai Son (Philosophy Faculty Association) spoke
Mr. Tran Van Nhue (Association of Headmasters) shared at the Congress

Therefore, the great contributions of the teachers have accompanied and resonated with the school's achievements. On behalf of the Board of Directors, all lecturers, staff, and students of the school sincerely thank you for that valuable contribution and respectfully hope that the teachers will continue to stick with and participate in many activities of the school to be able to pass on their experience, knowledge, and love for scientific research and the teaching profession to the next generations.
