As of January 2020, the University's Trade Union directly manages 520 union members, including 293 female union members. The staff meets the required standards in terms of training qualifications, professional standards, and management standards as stipulated. In the first semester of the past academic year, 9 union members retired, and 2 new members were admitted.

According to Dr. Tran Thi Dieu - Vice President of the School's Trade Union, in the first half of the 2019-2020 academic year, the School's Trade Union successfully carried out its work in caring for the lives and representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the staff and employees; continued to launch the movement to build a civilized and courteous working environment; and actively built a strong trade union organization...

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Vice President of the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, speaking at the conference, said he was always impressed with the activities of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities because of their systematic and thorough approach and the large number of union members who participate.
In particular, the University's Trade Union organized many outstanding activities that received high praise from union members, such as: organizing a seminar on "Cybersecurity Law" to disseminate information and knowledge about network security; organizing the "Humanities Connection Day" to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th with the participation of more than 300 staff and students from 21 departmental trade unions - creating an opportunity for USSH staff to showcase their culinary skills and fostering connections and networking among union members throughout the university.

Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - President of the University's Trade Union, stated: "For trade union activities to be effective and attractive to union members, the role of trade union officials is very important."
Another highlight is the successful organization of the program by the Trade Union.Happy Children's Dayat the Vietnam Puppet Theatre andHappy Mid-Autumn Festival!The event for children of staff and faculty members at the Youth Theatre attracted nearly 500 children of staff and faculty working at several schools. For the first time, the University's Trade Union, in collaboration with the Trade Union of the University of Science and the Trade Union of the National Economics University, successfully organized a joint program, increasing operational efficiency, fostering connections, and saving organizational costs.

Regarding social activities, over two days (December 21-22, 2019), the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated with the Trade Union of Cluster 5 Universities (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Natural Sciences - VNU Hanoi) to visit and donate two outdoor sports facilities to teachers and students of Dong Hong High School and Ha Lang High School (Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province). At the same time, the delegation presented 30 Tet gifts to teachers in difficult circumstances in Tuyen Quang province for the New Year 2020.

Acknowledging and appreciating the activities of the University's Trade Union, Professor Pham Quang Minh shared: "I am delighted to see the spirit of innovation, creativity, youthfulness, and connection throughout the union's activities over the years. Achieving this is not easy, and union officials must truly embody the spirit of innovation and put a lot of heart, emotion, and dedication into each initiative for common activities. I also see a renewal in the union's staff at the University and its units, with young, capable, and dedicated individuals."

The Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the Trade Union of the University visited union members who were sick or in difficult circumstances.
The Rector also emphasized that the Trade Union plays a particularly important role in connecting and supporting staff and union members in implementing the general policies of the University; creating consensus and a spirit of solidarity and cohesion within the University. The University's Trade Union has successfully breathed new life into general activities and always makes union members look forward to the next activities that the Trade Union will organize for the teachers.

Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, President of the University's Trade Union, stated that the Union's activities will continue to closely follow the activities of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union and the sectoral Trade Union, adhering to the University's major policies and orientations. The Union's activities will constantly innovate to increase connectivity and spread shared values within the USSH staff community. Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh also acknowledged and highly appreciated the pivotal role of the Union officials – those who directly "ignite" the movement and inspire the union members within their units through their dynamism and enthusiasm.
