The school's Badminton Club won an award at the Thanh Xuan District Badminton Tournament 2019.

On the morning of October 26, 2019, at the invitation of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Xuan District, the Badminton Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in the "Friendly Badminton Match between Foreign Students and Youth Union Members of Thanh Xuan District in 2019". The tournament was held at the Thanh Xuan District Sports Center.

Awarding prizes for the men's doubles

This year's friendly badminton tournament features three participating units: the Political Academy of Region I; the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and the Thanh Xuan District Youth Union. These units sent 36 athletes to compete in three categories: men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The Badminton Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities contributed 12 athletes, including two Korean students, one Thai student, and nine Vietnamese students.

Competing with the spirit of "Honesty - Confidence - Nobility - Exchange and Learning," the Badminton Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities ultimately won the following prizes:

Men's doubles winner: Bui Van Son - Le Minh Luan.

Female doubles team: Duong Khanh Linh - Tran Phuong Thuy.

The friendly badminton tournament is one of the people-to-people diplomacy activities and also an annual event of the Thanh Xuan District Fatherland Front Committee. This is the 5th time the tournament has been organized and has seen active participation from the School's Badminton Club. This friendly tournament has contributed to strengthening the close relationship between the district's youth union members and foreign students studying and residing in Thanh Xuan District.
