On April 17th and 18th, the semi-final and final matches of the table tennis tournament to celebrate the 31st Congress of the University's Trade Union, term 2023-2028, will take place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Time:
- The semi-final matches will take place starting at 5:30 PM on Monday, April 17th.
- From 5:30 PM on Tuesday, April 18th, the two finals will take place: the two best players in the men's singles category and the two best pairs in the men's doubles category.Location:
Lobby on the 7th floor of Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities
From April 10th to 15th, dozens of exciting, tense, and thrilling football matches took place in the lobby of the 7th floor of Building E. Players from various departmental trade unions competed with great enthusiasm, providing the audience with many beautiful plays.
These matches are not only an opportunity for players to showcase their physical strength, ball skills, and sportsmanship, but also a chance for players, spectators, and union members from various departments to have meaningful moments of interaction and bonding.
At the end of Round 1, the top 8 athletes from the 4 groups advanced to Round 2 in the MEN'S SINGLES event.
Table 1: Dinh Tien Hieu and Pham Van Hue (College of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine);
Table 2: Trinh Van Dinh (College IV, Administration Department) and Nguyen Van Luan (College of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language);
Table 3: Nguyen Anh Cuong (Faculty of Political Science) and Pham Thanh Ha (Faculty of Philosophy);
Table 4: Pham Van Luyen and Dinh Vu An (both from the College of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language).
In Round 2, 8 athletes will be divided into 2 groups (4 athletes per group) to compete, with 2 athletes from each group advancing to the Semi-finals.
The men's doubles competition also featured evenly matched pairs, vying for every point. At the end of Round 1, six pairs advanced to Round 2.
Pair 1: Trinh Van Dinh and Pham Huy Cuong
Pair 2: Nguyen Anh Cuong and Nguyen Duy Quynh
Pair 3: Dinh Tieu Hieu and Pham Thanh Ha
Pair 4: Pham Van Luyen and Dinh Vu An
Pair 5: Nguyen Tran Tien and Luu Tuan Anh
Pair 6: Dinh Van Nam and Pham Van Hue
Six pairs competed in a round-robin format to select the four pairs with the highest scores to advance to the semi-finals.
The two finals in each event will undoubtedly be extremely tense contests between the best representatives. The gold trophy will truly go down to the very last set!
