Overview of the school meeting in May 2023
Before the Conference started, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Duc Thuan - Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the Decision of the Executive Committee of the Student Association of Hanoi National University recognizing the Executive Committee of the Student Association of the school for the term 2023 - 2025, in which comrade Duong Tat Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the school is the Chairman of the Association.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan presented flowers to congratulate, assigned tasks and expressed his confidence that comrade Duong Tat Thanh would successfully complete the task of leading the school's student movement to further develop.
Before representatives of the units expressed their opinions on the key contents of the May Work Plan, the Vice Principals shared specific information about the assigned areas of activity.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong noted that training units need to promptly review and compare with the contents of the newly issued Training Regulations of Hanoi National University to have a form of recognition for students who have completed the courses that are no longer present in the new Regulations; quickly complete the adjustment of the training program and send it to the Training Department of the University; strengthen the communication work of postgraduate recruitment to attract candidates and disseminate changes in the University and postgraduate Training Regulations so that learners can promptly update and prepare the conditions to complete the study program.

Vice President Dao Thanh Truong discussed and noted some key tasks of the scientific research and development cooperation sector in May: Completing and announcing the University's science and innovation strategy to respond to the strategy of VNU; Strengthening communication about strong research groups and key research centers; Expanding cooperation with prestigious publishing houses in the world to support the publishing and publication work of the University's lecturers and staff; Reviewing MOUs to make cooperation activities more practical and effective; Strengthening promotion and introduction of summer courses and short-term training courses to attract students from abroad to exchange and study at the University.

Vice Principal Lai Quoc Khanh said: by the end of April, the deployment of E-office software to training units had been completed, and training on software usage had been organized for all leaders of training units. In May, the main task of the administrative and facilities sector was to organize a conference to develop key tasks for the 2023-2024 school year; Complete the installation of a wifi system throughout the school. Request that units support and coordinate to ensure that the work is carried out on schedule.

Director of the Center for Communication and Information Technology Dao Minh Quan shared two key contents that will be implemented in May: Deploying the Student App and Building a brand image and identity. In order for the work items to be implemented quickly, effectively and with quality, the Center hopes that the leaders of the units will inform the staff, lecturers and students of their units to understand and coordinate the implementation.

After listening to the opinions exchanged and discussed at the Conference, the Principal concluded and emphasized some key tasks in May:
- The Research Management Department completed and submitted to the Board of Directors a number of guiding documents on key research for students, and management documents supporting international publications in May.
- The Union Executive Committee reviews the preparations for the School Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term closely, thoughtfully, and carefully, ensuring that the Congress is successfully organized and achieves the highest results.
- Personnel organization: Heads of units coordinate with the Department of Scientific Research to review, motivate and support scientific staff of the unit to be eligible to participate in the standardization of the title of Professor/Associate Professor in 2023. At the same time, units proactively seek, discover and attract high-quality scientific staff to work at the School to develop the team of lecturers and researchers, ensuring the stability and development of the industry.
Regarding this content, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: Standardizing the title of Professor/Associate Professor is not only the right of staff and lecturers but also the responsibility to the University and the industry. Building a team of leading staff is the mission, responsibility and survival of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Without leading staff, the University cannot maintain its position as the leading unit in the country in social sciences and humanities. Heads of training units need to pay special attention to building a strategy to develop a team of leading and leading staff; the University will also invest appropriately to implement this strategy.
- Training: Synchronously and effectively deploy and ensure the progress of adjusting the university and postgraduate training programs of the University according to the guidance documents of VNU; Closely organize according to the regulations on university admission, high school admission and regular university admission in 2023.
- University administration and management: Synchronously deploy the e-office system connecting all units with the administrative block in the whole school. Continue to promote the improvement of work processes in the direction of innovation, modernization, reducing procedures, and technology to ensure "transparency" in the entire work management system of the School.
- Upgrade the website, especially the static information system; continue to calculate and build new apps to serve the management and support of students.
- Improve the quality of training activities after accreditation; develop and soon issue documents regulating the internal quality assurance information system and regulations for community service.
