The Congress was honored to welcome delegates representing the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU): Comrade Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Vice President of VNU, President of VNU Trade Union), Comrade Dinh Van Huong (Former President of VNU); and comrades representing the leaders of the Trade Unions of units under VNU, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in the Trade Union Cluster of 5 schools.
On the School side, attending the Congress were comrade Hoang Anh Tuan (Party Committee Secretary, Principal), comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal), comrade Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Principal); comrade Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Principal); comrade Lam Ba Nam (Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers); comrade Pham Cong Nhat (Chairman of the Association of Veterans); comrade Duong Tat Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the School's Student Association; along with comrades in the Party Committee, leaders of units and 132 delegates representing 22 trade unions of the School.
The Congress was able to "enjoy" a very modern and vivid Summary Report through video with many images, specific and intuitive figures, fully reflecting the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Trade Union in the 2017-2023 term in all aspects: Political, ideological and professional work; Work to care for people's lives, represent and protect legitimate and legal rights and interests; Women's work and cultural and sports activities; Social and charitable activities to serve the community; Building a strong Trade Union organization; Financial and foreign affairs work.
In addition to assessing the advantages and achievements, the report also pointed out the difficulties: The 2017-2023 term is a challenging term and also a very special term, a term longer than a normal term; a term with many fluctuations, difficulties, and challenges due to objective circumstances, due to the pandemic and also many internal difficulties of the School.
There are many difficulties and challenges, but there are also many opportunities to demonstrate the dynamism, creativity, innovation, flexibility, dedication and responsibility of the School Executive Committee as well as the union officials of 22 union departments of the School. All of these dedications and responsibilities have created the image of a dynamic, innovative and creative Humanity. To continue to contribute to the success of the Resolution of the 28th Congress of the School Party Committee and the Resolution of the 31st Congress of the Union, the delegates listened to the direction of activities of the Union for the 2023-2028 term with 7 key tasks and basic groups of solutions to successfully implement the goals set by the Congress.
Chairwoman of the School Trade Union Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh emphasized some highlights in the direction of the Union's activities for the 2023 - 2028 term.
The Congress listened to 02 reports from the unions of the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Information - Library with very interesting and practical topics, concretizing and illustrating the tasks that the Union has performed well in the past term.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Luot, with many years of experience in charge of union work at the Faculty of Psychology, has made scientific analyses from a psychological perspective and proposed specific solutions to help motivate lecturers.
MSc. Tran Duc Hoa (Labor Union of Information and Library Faculty) in his presentation put forward very practical initiatives to further promote the role of the Union in enhancing the application of information technology in teaching, scientific research and university administration.
The Congress has truly become a democratic forum, an opportunity for 22 departmental unions to share the advantages, difficulties, and characteristics of their union activities, and at the same time propose solutions to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the School's union work in the coming term.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan, Party Secretary and Principal of the School, congratulated and praised the remarkable achievements of the School Union in a "special" term. A term with many difficulties and challenges, especially during the three years of the Covid pandemic that disrupted all aspects of social life, but with the creativity, enthusiasm, and determination to overcome difficulties of the Executive Committee, the support and solidarity of all union members, the School Union has successfully completed the targets set by the XXX term Congress. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: “The achievements of the School Union have greatly contributed to the overall success of the School; contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of union members; created solidarity, attachment and sharing among the staff in the School. The Party Committee and the School Board of Directors always support, create conditions and believe that with the leadership of the enthusiastic, dynamic and creative Executive Committee and the consensus of union members, the School Union activities will achieve even more achievements”.

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the National University of Hanoi, comrade Nguyen Thi Hoang Lien (Vice President of the Trade Union of the National University of Hanoi, President of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences) highly appreciated the achievements of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the past term, and emphasized: “In the past term, facing common difficulties, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had very creative solutions, not only successfully completing the targets set by the higher-level trade union as well as the 30th Congress, but also creating its own mark, bearing the color of “Humanity”. These achievements have contributed to the general picture of the Trade Union of the National University of Hanoi, as well as the foreign affairs with the trade unions of other schools”. The Vice President of the Trade Union of the National University of Hanoi expressed her gratitude for the contributions of all the efforts, intelligence and enthusiasm of the comrades in the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the University and all the trade union members of the University.
