University of Social Sciences and Humanities holds school-wide meeting in April 2023

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan reviewed the results achieved in March, and emphasized a number of key contents that need to continue to be completed in April and the second quarter of 2023.
At the conference, delegates listened to the Board of Directors and representatives of the leaders of departments and centers present the outstanding results achieved in March, and noted some contents that need to be highly focused on to complete in April and the second quarter of 2023.
According to Dr. Pham Huy Cuong (Director of the Center for Training Quality Assurance): In the first quarter of 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities completed the official assessment of 11 ministerial-level training programs and 01 training program according to AUN standards.awaiting certification. In the evaluation reports, the External Evaluation Team highly appreciated the improvement results of the School in recent times: building and innovating the content of the training program, clearly defining the output standards; the work of caring for and supporting learners has been paid attention to, increasingly diverse and practical; community service activities have been carried out regularly, with great influence, etc. However, in order for the accreditation work in the coming time to be highly effective, we hope that the units with accredited training programs will pay attention to the following points: the work of archiving and digitizing all evidence needs to be fully implemented, regularly reviewing the output standards of the training program, having specific evidence of improving teaching methods, testing and evaluation to achieve the output standards (having tools to evaluate and measure the quality of learners when applying improvement measures, etc.).
MSc. Kim Thi Diep Ha (Head of Planning and Finance Department) reminded the units that April 6, 2023 is the deadline for staff and lecturers to compare personal income tax settlement for 2022 and on April 6, 2023, the School will finalize the data and complete the tax settlement procedures. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam (Head of Training Department) shared: In the recent past, with the active participation of relevant departments, the active support of training units, and the Youth Union, many students have obtained foreign language certificates to ensure graduation conditions. In the coming time, we hope that units will continue to closely coordinate with the Training Department to promote these results. From April onwards, there will be peak months for enrollment work, from specialized high schools, universities to postgraduates, so we hope that training units will focus highly on this work. Regarding the enrollment quotas and majors of each training major, it is necessary to calculate a reasonable plan to ensure both quantity and quality. Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal) shared: through the admission consultation sessions, as well as the amount of interaction on the website and fanpage in February and March, it has shown that the training majors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have attracted the attention of many parents and students. In April and the following months before the Ministry of Education and Training announces the National High School Exam scores, the School hopes that the leaders of the training units will continue to accompany and strengthen communication more strongly to widely inform parents and students about the 2023 admission plan. Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong also emphasized some key contents that need attention to do better in the quality assessment of training programs in the coming time: archiving and digitizing evidence, implementing regular improvements, building closer relationships with stakeholders: alumni, employers, etc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) was pleased to announce the results in the field of science and international cooperation: 04 strong research groups of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have been recognized by VNU as strong research groups at VNU level, domestic and international cooperation activities have achieved many positive results. Summer courses projects are of special interest to international partners, so in April, the Department of Cooperation and Development needs to coordinate with training units to urgently develop specific content and widely communicate to attract a large number of international students and trainees to participate. In addition, it is necessary to review MOUs, evaluate performance, classify strategic partners to continue signing and promote practical activities. Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Principal) noted: in April, VNU-Eoffice software will be installed and trained for use by staff and leaders of training units; wifi system installation will be completed throughout the school; lecture halls will be renovated and arranged, ensuring a clean, spacious, airy space, convenient for teaching and learning of lecturers and students.
