VNU President Nguyen Kim Son was nominated as a candidate for the 15th National Assembly.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 219-CV/VPTW dated March 10, 2021 of the Office of the Party Central Committee on the introduction of candidates for the XV National Assembly, VNU has implemented the process of introducing candidates for the XV National Assembly and organized a conference to collect opinions from voters at the workplace for candidates expected to be introduced for the XV National Assembly.

Attending the Conference were Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, Director of VNU Nguyen Kim Son; Board of Directors of VNU and a large number of voters who are civil servants, public employees and workers of VNU.

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Hai - Permanent Deputy Secretary, Permanent Deputy Director of VNU and Comrade Vo Thi Minh Trang - Chairwoman of VNU Trade Union chaired the Conference.

Comrade Nguyen Kim Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council, and President of VNU, is the candidate introduced by the Party Central Committee Office to run for the 15th National Assembly.

The conference listened to comrade Vo Thi Minh Trang report on the selection process and criteria for the 15th National Assembly deputies according to the Law on National Assembly Elections and a summary of the biography of comrade Nguyen Kim Son.

At the Conference, voters of VNU expressed their opinions, comments and evaluations of the candidates introduced. Accordingly, the opinions unanimously appreciated Comrade Nguyen Kim Son as a person with capacity, intelligence, qualifications, political qualities, ethics, vision, and knowing how to listen to the voices of voters. Comrade Nguyen Kim Son fully meets the conditions and standards of a National Assembly deputy according to the provisions of law and is completely worthy of being a National Assembly deputy of the 15th term.

At the conference, 100% of voters of VNU present at the conference voted in favor of introducing comrade Nguyen Kim Son - Director of VNU to run for the 15th National Assembly.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Kim Son thanked the voters of VNU for their trust in nominating him to run for the 15th National Assembly; at the same time, he pledged to wholeheartedly serve the cause of the Party, the State and the people. Comrade Nguyen Kim Son is fully aware that running for the National Assembly is a task assigned by the Party. This is a great honor, and at the same time, a very high responsibility.
