The election time at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities starts at 7am in the lobby on the first floor of Building E of the school. This is polling station No. 14 of Thanh Xuan Trung Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of University of Social Sciences and Humanities) shared: "The school has strictly and closely implemented safe election procedures, thoroughly guiding voters. Information about the delegates was also sent to students in advance. The school also seriously implemented epidemic prevention work. Voters had their health declared, their body temperature measured, their hands disinfected and distanced throughout the election process. Students who went to vote for the first time were also very excited and enthusiastic to participate in the national festival, demonstrating their rights and responsibilities as citizens, as well as the close coordination between the school and the government, teachers in the Election Steering Committee and student voters.
Associate Professor, Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Principal of the School, Head of the Election Steering Committee) emphasized: "The election is a great festival for all people, a profound democratic activity, an important political event in the social life of the country and each locality. The vast majority of 675 voters have the honor of voting for the first time to exercise their rights and responsibilities as masters. The school deeply believes that voters will wisely choose the most outstanding people, with virtue and talent, worthy of representing the people to participate in the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term."

Holding a ballot for the first time to participate in an election, voters were very nervous but still excited to join in the joy of people across the country.
The number of voters participating in today's election is 675, accounting for more than 10% of the total number of students studying at the school. The number of voters expected to vote is more than 2,000. However, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, many students have returned to their hometowns and participated in the election at other units in Hanoi. In these cases, the school has promptly allowed them to re-register and report to their superiors.
Hoang Thi Phuoc (K62 - Faculty of Psychology) expressed: "This is the first time I participated in an election, I was quite nervous. I woke up early to prepare for school. At the polling station, Covid-19 prevention equipment was also fully prepared. We had to declare our health, have our temperature taken and sit apart during the election. Before that, I had carefully researched the delegates at home, so the steps on election day were very quick, objective and effective."
Voters were guided and supported by student volunteers from the School's Student Volunteer Team.
Pham Quang Vu, a member of the Student Volunteer Team, said: “As pioneers in supporting students in the election, we are determined to uphold our sense of responsibility and be vigilant against the Covid-19 pandemic. After completing our mission, I will also carry out my election work.”
The election period will last until 7:00 p.m. on May 23.
