In regional Olympic competitions,Students from Vietnam National University, Hanoi won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal., 2 Bronze medals and 1 Certificate of Merit. To date, the total number of Olympic medals won by students from specialized high schools under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi is 83 Gold medals, 91 Silver medals, 79 Bronze medals, and 70 regional Olympic medals.

For their achievements in the 2025 international and regional Olympiad competitions, six students from the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences were awarded the Labor Medal by the President of Vietnam. Among them, Giang Duc Dung received the Second Class Labor Medal; five students received the Third Class Labor Medal: Nguyen Dang Dung, Nguyen Dinh Tung, Nguyen Bui Duc Dung, Truong Duc Dung, and Ly Ba Khoi. In addition, two students received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister: Nguyen Mai Khue and Pham Quang Phuc An.

In 2025, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) will simultaneously implement many strategic projects, gradually shaping the image of a modern university and research center in Hoa Lac. According to the plan, in the second quarter of 2026, many important items will be put into use, including the VNU Central Administration Building, the Library and Digital Knowledge Center, the University of Technology, and a part of the VNC02 Interdisciplinary Research Zone project. This will create a synchronized infrastructure foundation for VNU's research and innovation ecosystem.
