Celebrate the 'Global Festival 2025' - the International Cultural Festival of Vietnam.

GD&TĐ - On December 21st, the "International Cultural Festival 2025 – Global Festival" took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi.

The 2025 Global Festival, an international cultural event, attracted a large number of Vietnamese and international students studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as Vietnamese and international postgraduate students studying in the Departments of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language, and Vietnamese Studies.
The bamboo pole dance performance symbolized the connection and camaraderie between Vietnamese students and international students.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh - Party Secretary and Head of the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, stated: As one of the core units nationwide training in Vietnamese language and culture, with the mission of training high-quality human resources in Linguistics and Vietnamese Studies, promoting research on language, the Vietnamese language, and research on the country, people, and culture of Vietnam in an interdisciplinary direction, the training activities, scientific research, and especially extracurricular programs such as the International Cultural Festival 2025 and today's Global Festival are organized with the aim of contributing to spreading Vietnamese identity and affirming the influence in the field of language not only domestically but also internationally. At the same time, it aims to strengthen exchanges and relations between Vietnam and countries around the world.

This activity also aims to celebrate the successful 80th anniversary of the tradition and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University's Youth Union; the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the University's Student Association; and the Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies.

With the expectation of organizing a beneficial and interesting cultural playground for Vietnamese and international students, the International Cultural Festival has become a flagship program of the Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, not only contributing to promoting Vietnamese cultural identity but also fostering exchange and knowledge sharing between domestic and international students through diverse artistic activities.

The cultural and artistic activities, full of national identity, brought about by Vietnamese students studying in China, Cuba, Hungary, and other countries, created a vibrant, lively, and laughter-filled atmosphere. Vietnamese and international students presented familiar yet captivating spaces along with incredibly impressive products.
Vietnamese students included banh chung and banh tet (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) in their presentation about their culture.
In particular, at the Gala night on the same day, students, trainees, and teachers together honored and awarded prizes to the booths. All the booths presented the judging panel with considerable difficulty, as each booth showcased excellence and brought its own unique characteristics and style. In addition, the performances of traditional costumes from various countries and the international cultural exchange program left a strong impression of the cultures of the participating nations.
Over its 13 seasons, the Global Festival has increasingly affirmed its appeal as a meaningful cultural and artistic platform, creating opportunities for exchange, learning, and connection between Vietnamese and international students. This is an ideal opportunity for international students studying at the Faculty in particular, and at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi in general, to gain a deeper understanding of the people and countries they live and study in, while also providing Vietnamese students with a better understanding of the cultures of countries around the world.
