In his remarks at the meeting, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) reiterated that quality assurance is of great importance, relating to all areas of the University's operations. In the context of the University implementing the Project to evaluate and improve training programs as well as Decree 81, quality assurance impacts the reorientation of development to enhance competitiveness and increase revenue for the University.

Therefore, the self-assessment of quality according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training is an opportunity for the school to reflect on the reality of its operations. Through this, it can continue to identify directions and adjust short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals and plans accordingly, as well as leverage its strengths and specific resources, and propose concrete measures to minimize and overcome existing weaknesses.

On behalf of the University Party Committee, Associate Professor Pham Xuan Thach (Secretary of the Party Committee) commended the great efforts of the Self-Assessment Council in compiling a report with complete and detailed data, reflecting the results of all aspects of the University's activities. This is even more significant given that this self-assessment of the University's quality took place amidst the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Secretary of the Party Committee hoped to hear practical contributions from representatives of various units to further improve the report.

Next, the Conference listened to a summary of the School's Self-Assessment Report. The report was finalized with the participation of nine different focal groups and underwent a thorough consultation, review, and revision process involving members of the Council Secretariat and the Board of Directors. In terms of content, the report compiles and summarizes the results and data of the School's work over the past five years, based on 25 standards and 111 criteria covering all areas from mission and vision to training activities, scientific research, student affairs, and development cooperation.

The report received comments and suggestions from council members and functional units. These comments focused on the following issues: revising and reviewing the overall style and wording to ensure clarity; adding further evidence of the school's achievements in various fields of activity; reviewing solutions to address existing shortcomings such as infrastructure and the system of documents related to accreditation criteria; and adding more visual evidence to further illustrate the criteria and standards of the units.

Concluding the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the University) expressed his gratitude for the constructive feedback from the audience. The Vice Rector instructed the Quality Assurance Center to act as the focal point for incorporating the feedback to review and revise the report. Simultaneously, the University will mobilize several experts to contribute further opinions to ensure the report's professionalism. Following this, the report will undergo a closed-door review for official approval before being submitted to external evaluation units.
