The conference was organized to evaluate and review the key results in the school's quality assurance work in 2020; and to implement plans and solutions to ensure and improve the quality of education at the school in 2021.

Dr. Tran Thuy Anh presented the Report on Quality Assurance Activities in 2020 and the period 2015-2020.
At the Conference, Dr. Tran Thuy Anh – Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance – presented a report on the school's quality assurance activities in 2020 and the 2015-2020 period. Dr. Tran Thuy Anh emphasized: In general, during the 2015-2020 period, quality accreditation and evaluation activities were carried out regularly every year, the culture of quality was maintained, quality improvement activities were enhanced, and surveys to gather feedback from stakeholders were conducted regularly with increasingly positive results over the years. The targets for quality accreditation and evaluation of training programs for the 2015-2020 period were achieved.
In 2020 alone, the University conducted quality accreditation of its training programs according to the AUN-QA standards for one program (Political Science) and peer evaluation according to the VNU standards for five programs (Social Work, Management Science, Office Management, Hotel Management, Public Relations). According to the Doctor, there are still some limitations that need to be addressed, such as: Learning outcomes, teaching programs, and assessment methods are not yet compatible; there are no regulations on rubrics and scoring rubrics for assessment; and there is a lack of regular participation from stakeholders in designing/adjusting learning outcomes and teaching programs.
At the conference, several solutions to improve quality assurance were proposed, such as: building a quality assurance network; periodically reviewing/evaluating and improving the quality of the system of regulations, procedures, and tools for quality assurance; strengthening and expanding the scope of feedback collection on training programs and the university; and organizing training to enhance the capacity of staff in knowledge and skills for self-assessment of training programs and the university.

Dr. Pham Hoang Giang (Faculty of Philosophy) contributed his opinion on quality assurance activities.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu – Deputy Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance – gave an overview of the new points in the Ministry of Education and Training's set of standards for quality accreditation of educational institutions; and announced the University's plan for evaluating/accrediting the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs for the period 2021-2025.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu introduced the new points of the Ministry of Education and Training's set of standards for quality accreditation of educational institutions.
Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa highly appreciated the results of quality assurance work in the period 2015-2020 and in 2020 in particular. The Vice Rector reiterated that quality accreditation and quality assurance help the University and its units compare themselves with the evaluation criteria of universities in the region and internationally, determine their current standing on the domestic and international scales, identify strengths and weaknesses that need to be overcome to improve the quality of their activities.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa delivered the concluding remarks at the conference.
The Vice Rector suggested that in the coming period, representatives from each unit should continue to focus on raising awareness of quality assurance among all members, considering it a long-term, continuous process. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of the implementation of quality improvement programs according to the recommendations and requirements of the evaluation team. In the near future, the University will plan to establish a University-level Quality Assurance Council.
