As part of the "East Asian Youth Festival and Zen Cultural Exchange" from December 15-21, 2025, at Woljeongsa Temple in Odae Mountain, Gangwon, South Korea, a delegation of faculty and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in various exchange activities, visited Woljeongsa Temple, the Joseon Dynasty History Museum, the Buddhist Heritage Museum, the National Museum of Korea, and experienced and explored local culture.
Students from four countries (Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, and South Korea) will study and exchange ideas on topics related to Zen meditation, and how to apply Zen meditation to responsible living.
During this exchange program, students were immersed in the verdant slopes of Mount Odae, visiting Woljeongsa Temple – a peaceful temple steeped in a thousand years of history. Walking along the path shaded by dense pine trees, your soul will gradually find tranquility, merging with nature and experiencing a profound sense of peace. Woljeongsa is not just a place to rest, but also a space to shed worries, to look deeply into yourself through meditation in the pine forest, and to practice profound spiritual discipline within the temple.
The Moonsoo Youth Association was established in April 2004 with the goal of developing healthy personalities and harmonious growth for young people. The association organizes various activities such as meditation programs for teenagers, character education, cultural and artistic exploration, and international exchange, aiming to help bright and intelligent young people realize their dreams.
