On August 13, in Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) organized the 7th international conference on Vietnamese studies with the theme "Culture, ethnicity, religion in Vietnam in the new development context".

The symposium “Culture, Ethnicity, and Religion in Vietnam in the context of new developments” organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi this morning, August 23, 2025, is part of the 7th international scientific conference series on Vietnamese studies.

On August 13, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi will organize the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies with the theme “Culture, ethnicity, religion in Vietnam in the new development context”. The conference is organized to create a forum connecting scientists, managers, and social activists at home and abroad.

This is the content discussed at the seminar between the Faculty of Anthropology and Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Ethnicity and Religion - Regional Political Academy III held on August 2, 2025 in Da Nang city.

At the working session on June 8, 2025, the two sides discussed many cooperation opportunities in training and research in the field of archival studies.

Religion is affirmed as one of the resources for national development, religious work is also identified as the task of the political system. However, currently, the high-quality human resources with a level of Religious Studies are quite modest. That reality has prompted the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to build a training program in Religious Studies to equip the theory and practice of Religious Studies as well as knowledge and skills in religious work to meet social needs.

This morning, June 17, 2025, the Faculty of Anthropology and Religious Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) organized a presentation of two new research works: "Social networks and ethnic groups in Vietnam from an Anthropological perspective" (edited by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Suu) and "Goc da, quan coc and Facebook" (authored by Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Xuan Tinh).

The above slogan of action was highly unanimous at the Congress of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Anthropology and Religious Studies for the term 2025 - 2027 held on the afternoon of March 13, 2025.
