(ANTD) On May 9, 2026, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hai Phong City, in coordination with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, organized the national scientific conference "Commemorating 45 years of Hai Phong Buddhism's development alongside the nation 1981-2026".

This is one of the key activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, entitled "Resources of beliefs and religions in ethnic minority communities in the midland and mountainous regions of Northern Vietnam today: current situation, changes and policy proposals".

On the morning of March 27, 2026, the career guidance seminar on the topic "Job Opportunities for Anthropology and Religious Studies Students in the Context of the Merger of Two-Tiered Governments and Cultural Policies" took place with great enthusiasm, successfully resolving the biggest "bottleneck" in the minds of our Faculty students: Where are the actual job opportunities?

(GDVN) Religious Studies is not just about "studying religion" as many people think; it also opens up many diverse career opportunities in modern society.

Within the framework of the "Vietnam-Korea Youth Cultural Exchange Program on Zen Meditation and the East Asian Youth Cultural Exchange Day on Zen Meditation 2025," students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) participated in many meaningful activities with Korean students.

On August 13th, in Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) organized the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies with the theme "Culture, Ethnicity, and Religion in Vietnam in the Context of New Development".

The thematic workshop "Culture, Ethnicity, and Religion in Vietnam in the context of new developments," organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, this morning, August 23, 2025, is part of the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies.

On August 13, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, will host the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies with the theme “Culture, Ethnicity, and Religion in Vietnam in the Context of New Development”. The conference aims to create a forum for connecting scientists, administrators, and social activists from Vietnam and abroad.

This was the topic discussed at a seminar between the Faculty of Anthropology and Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Faculty of Ethnic and Religious Studies - Regional Political Academy III, held on August 2, 2025, in Da Nang city.

During the meeting on June 8, 2025, the two sides discussed numerous opportunities for cooperation in training and research in the field of archival studies.

This was the central theme agreed upon at the working meeting between the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City today, August 6, 2025.

Religion is affirmed as one of the resources for national development, and religious affairs are also identified as a task of the political system. However, currently, the number of high-quality human resources with qualifications in Religious Studies is quite modest. This reality has prompted the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to develop a training program in Religious Studies to equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge of Religious Studies, as well as knowledge and skills in religious affairs, to meet societal needs.
