On the morning of February 8th, students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities (THPT Chuyên KHXH&NV) attended the school's spring opening ceremony after a semester of online learning due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event was attended by Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Principal Lai Quoc Khanh, and Vice Principal Dao Thanh Truong.
After more than a year of online learning nationwide to ensure safety against the Covid-19 pandemic, students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities have officially returned to school under the new normal conditions with radiant and cheerful faces. The school has made all necessary preparations to welcome students back, implement social distancing measures, and enhance the effectiveness of disease prevention and control.

Speaking at the event, the Principal of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities - Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - happily welcomed the students back to school. He stated that the return to teaching and learning at this time is entirely reasonable as the pandemic situation has been somewhat controlled and the school has made efforts to ensure safety and prevent the spread of the disease among students. "I am very moved because it has been a long time since the end of April 2021 that this schoolyard has been completely empty of students. Every day, the teachers still go to work, but these lecture halls and classrooms are missing the presence of the students. Today, I feel very happy to see those lovely and familiar faces and eyes again," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu shared.

Also attending the event, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, shared that returning to school was a great joy for everyone. However, during this time when the Covid-19 pandemic is still raging, alongside studying, each student also needs to focus on implementing the 5K regulations, wearing masks throughout the learning process, using their own drinking cups, and disinfecting all classrooms. Meeting and talking with the second cohort of students for the first time, he gave heartfelt advice, understanding the difficulties of online learning and expressing much hope and affection for the nearly 300 students of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities.

Representing the new cohort of students, Tang Tuan Vu shared: “Because it’s my first day of school, I’m still a little shy. But I think we’ll all become closer and happier together.” On their first day of school, from the hastily prepared cultural performances to the still somewhat awkward presentations, with the expectations and care of their teachers, the students of the second and first cohorts of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities will surely grow, become more confident, and achieve many good results in the future.

Also today, the school's teachers gave students red envelopes containing money, hoping to bring them good luck for the start of the new year of the Tiger.

February 8th, 2022 will be an unforgettable milestone marking the return of teachers and students to the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities. This will surely be a truly special opening ceremony, imbued with the poetic charm of spring.
