Reception of the Chief Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Vietnam

The cooperative relationship between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) has a history of more than 20 years. In all aspects of cooperation, from research activities in international relations, history, journalism to market economy, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always proven to be a reliable partner of the KAS.

At the reception, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Principal of the school) thanked KAS for its continuous and practical support over the past two decades and affirmed: The cooperation between KAS and USSH has certainly contributed positively to improving the capacity of researchers in the field of international relations and many other social sciences.

The leaders of the two units affirmed their determination to strengthen the strategic cooperation relationship towards improving the research capacity of lecturers and students in the school. Specifically, in 2022, the cooperation activities between KAS and USSH will focus on the following 4 activities:

• Organizing the seminar:Migration and the Labor Market in the Context of the Covid-19 Pandemic(expected to be held in May 2022);
• Organizing the seminar:Multilateralism in international relations in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic(expected to be held in October 2022).
• Organize a Student Idea Proposal Competition with the theme: Livelihood Security During and After the Covid-19 Pandemic (Expected to be held from February to May 2022 in Hanoi and Da Nang).
• Organizing phase 2 of the study “The European Union's Approach to the Indian RegionnurseryThe Pacific: from strategy to practice” with the theme: Perspectives and roles of key actors in the European Union's Strategy for the Indo-Pacific region.

(Phase 1 was implemented in 2021 with the theme: The European Union's Indo-Pacific Strategy and Vietnam's perspective).

At the end of the working session, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan once again thanked Mr. Florian Constantin Feyerabend personally for his attention as well as the KAS Institute and once again affirmed: KAS Institute is one of the long-term and reliable partners of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; hoping that in the coming time, the relationship between the two sides will be further promoted. The leaders of the two units also signed a Commitment Document to implement programs in 2022.
