Thousands of candidates learned about the academic programs at VNU-USSH at the 2023 University and College Admissions Fair.

In 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (School code: QHX) recruited 2,000 students for 27 training programs using 5 admission methods.
At the event, faculty, staff, and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities provided detailed answers to questions from prospective students and parents regarding future career opportunities, scholarship policies, learning environment, tuition fees, and other aspects of undergraduate programs.
Many parents and prospective students are interested in the second major program policy of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-USSH. Accordingly, after completing their first year, full-time students of VNU-USSH have the opportunity to study a second major in one of the following fields:
- Journalism, Management Science, Tourism and Travel Service Management, Office Management, International Studies, and Psychology majors at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.
- English Language, Korean Language, Japanese Language, and Chinese Language majors at the University of Foreign Languages, VNU Hanoi.
- Law Department of the Faculty of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Students who complete the training program in both majors will receive two official bachelor's degrees.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, a student from Ly Thuong Kiet High School in Hanoi, shared that she was admitted to the Korean Studies program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, through early admission. The student stated: “Becoming a new student in the Korean Studies program at VNU-USSH has been my goal since 10th grade. To achieve that, I invested in learning a foreign language to be admitted through the international certificate admission method.”
Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung also stated that, with diverse admission methods and a wide range of majors, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, has provided candidates with many opportunities to be admitted to their dream major.

 

Candidates should note: Do not register for only one nguyện vọng (preference/choice).
At the event, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, along with leaders from the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training, and members of the Advisory Board from universities and colleges, exchanged and provided detailed answers regarding the 2023 university admission regulations.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, candidates should prioritize their most preferred and suitable choices at the top. They need a strategy for registering their choices; there's no need to register for hundreds of options as this would be a waste of resources. Candidates should carefully study the admission plans of universities to avoid confusion or errors.

  At the event, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), informed that as of this morning, July 22nd, the Ministry of Education and Training's General Admissions Support System (the System) recorded nearly 390,000 applicants, reaching approximately 37%, of which about 72,000 applicants registered for only one nguyện vọng (preference). The Director of the Department of Higher Education advised applicants not to register for only one preference. Instead, they should register for several preferences, because if there is a risk for the applicant, the System will continue the selection process to give the applicant a chance to be admitted to other preferences.
In fact, since last year, many candidates who were admitted through the early admission method did not register their eligible choices on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system. Such cases have resulted in the loss of their admission opportunities. Because even if candidates are confirmed by universities as conditionally admitted, they still have to perform the final step of registering their admission choices (including both early admission choices and choices based on high school graduation exam scores) on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system and pay the full fees for the registered choices. "I affirm that the final step is still registration on the system. That is the most important step," said Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy.
There are only 8 days left before the system stops accepting applications for university admissions. Therefore, candidates should try to complete the first step of registering their preferences as soon as possible and not wait until the last minute to avoid risks and network congestion.
