Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, as Head of the Strong Research Group on Social Work and Social Security, is the author of 07 books, monographs, and textbooks, notably the following books: "The impact of social change on the stability and development of ethnic minority areas in our country today" (Co-editor, Monograph), Hanoi National University Publishing House, March 2021; "The impact of social stratification on the stability and development of ethnic minority areas in our country today: (Co-editor, Monograph), Hanoi National University Publishing House, March 2021; "A handbook on signs of autism spectrum disorder in children: Early intervention for parents and teachers" (Co-editor), Hanoi National University Publishing House, October 2021.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa is also the author of 14 articles published in domestic journals, 02 articles published in foreign journals ISI/SCOPUS; has chaired 05 S&T projects; has participated as a member in 04 S&T projects; is the main supervisor of 06 PhD students.
In the past 3 years, members of the NCM Social Work and Social Security group have been editors or co-authors, participating in publishing 11 books, monographs, and textbooks. The number of articles published in domestic scientific journals is 50, and 29 articles published in foreign scientific journals.

In the 3-year period (2022 - 2025), the Group will implement research objectives that closely follow the priority research orientation and Science and Technology Strategy of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as well as of VNU. That is to continue the applied research direction of Social Work and Social Security for children, the elderly, the disabled, and the poor; build domestic and foreign applied research projects related to Social Work and Social Security.
Social work and social security are very urgent in the current period, so with the strength of training, consulting, and propaganda, the NCM group "Social work and social security" will promote the application in its research activities. Notable tasks are: Research on employment solutions for the elderly in Hanoi City after the Covid pandemic (2023); Current situation and solutions for social insurance participation of employees in non-state enterprises in Hanoi City after the Covid 19 pandemic (2024).
As a leading group of researchers in the field of Social Work and Social Security in Vietnam, the Social Work and Social Security Research Group of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU has been expanding research cooperation and recruiting new members in accordance with VNU regulations to improve the quantity and quality of publications. Accordingly, the Group will strive to ensure the achievement of a higher publication target (about 1.5 times) in the fields of activities, such as: implementing 5 VNU-level scientific and technological topics and tasks in 3 years; compiling 3 books related to social work and social security; organizing 03 seminars on the field of social work and social security; training for the Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on social work. With 10 staff, each year the group will conduct at least 3 scientific research articles published in ISI/SCOPUS journals.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU has the mission of being a pioneer in training high-quality, highly qualified human resources; researching, creating and disseminating knowledge of social sciences and humanities, serving the cause of building and defending the Fatherland and international integration.
