Representing Vietnam National University, Hanoi were Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy - Director of the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance - VNU, Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh - Rector of the University of Natural Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Que Anh - Rector of the University of Law.
The 322nd AUN-QA program evaluation at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, focused on four programs offered by its member universities: Bachelor of Anthropology - University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science - University of Science; Master of Hydrology - University of Science; and Master of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law - University of Law.
Representing Vietnam National University, Hanoi were leaders from the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance and leaders from member universities whose training programs were evaluated in the 322nd AUN-QA accreditation assessment.

Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy - Director of the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance - VNU Hanoi, delivered the opening remarks at the 322nd AUN-QA Program Assessment at VNU Hanoi.
In his opening remarks at the working session, Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy, Director of the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance - VNU Hanoi, stated: “Educational quality assurance is an annual and ongoing task of VNU Hanoi. Currently, 53.6% of the Bachelor's degree programs of VNU Hanoi's member universities have been accredited, with international accreditation accounting for 30% of the total. These are remarkable figures, reflecting the university's continuous efforts to improve the quality of training and consolidate the position and standing of VNU Hanoi's member universities in the national and regional higher education system.”
To fulfill this mission, VNU Hanoi organized the Opening Ceremony of the External Evaluation of 04 training programs, marking an important milestone in its continuous efforts to achieve excellence in education.
According to Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy, when adhering to the AUN-QA educational accreditation standards, important aspects of the training program such as: program objectives and expected learning outcomes, teaching content, pedagogical methods, assessment methods, quality assurance activities, faculty and students, facilities and student support… will be evaluated and suggestions for improvement will be made. This evaluation process is a valuable opportunity for Vietnam National University, Hanoi to receive international feedback and experience from education experts from leading universities in the region.
The feedback from AUN-QA experts on training programs will help member universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) identify the strengths and weaknesses of their evaluated programs, as well as opportunities to improve the overall quality of training at VNU. In particular, the results of this process will help enhance the competitiveness of VNU students in the labor market and contribute positively to broader social development.
Mr. Prem Anand M Arjunan - Head of Accreditation, Financial Accreditation Body, AUN-QA Assessment Team, shared his honor in working with the Assessment Team at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
With a vision extending to 2035, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi aims to leverage its strengths as a university of basic sciences, focusing resources on building the University into a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research university with a team of leading experts; developing several new and pioneering training programs and specializations that play a core role in training and research in basic sciences of the country, reaching regional and international standards; and ranking among the top 100 universities in Asia and the top 500 universities in the world. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has implemented quality accreditation for many training programs. Among these, accreditation according to AUN-QA standards is a major goal of the university to improve the quality of training programs to an international level. The following training programs at USSH have been accredited by AUN-QA: Bachelor of Linguistics, Bachelor of Oriental Studies, Bachelor of Philosophy, Bachelor of Literature, Bachelor of Sociology, Bachelor of Psychology, and in 2023, the Bachelor of Anthropology program was evaluated.
AUN-QAThe ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance is a network dedicated to ensuring the quality of higher education within the ASEAN University Network (AUN). Its mission is to promote quality assurance activities in higher education institutions, improve the quality of higher education, and foster cooperation with domestic and international organizations. AUN currently has 30 members, including Vietnamese members such as Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; and Can Tho University.
Participation in the AUN-QA accreditation process for universities will bring value to the following beneficiaries:
