USSH contributed significantly to the activities at the 2023 National Press Conference.

On the morning of March 17th, the 2023 National Press Conference opened at the Hanoi Museum. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, had many vibrant activities at this year's conference.

The 2023 National Press Conference, themed “Unity - Professionalism - Culture - Creativity,” saw the participation of 63 provincial and city Journalists' Associations, and 60 central and local press agencies. Attending the opening ceremony of the National Press Conference on the morning of March 17th were the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Nguyen Trong Nghia; Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; along with many leaders from various ministries and agencies, and a large number of journalists.
Following a tradition from previous years, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training - University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a booth at the Press Festival to introduce and promote its image, facilities, and training programs.
In addition, this is also a space for meeting and interacting between generations of journalism students. Many former students of the Institute who are working at central and local press agencies have taken the time to visit the exhibition booth. Student Doan Thu Thuy - Class K66 High-Quality Journalism shared:Attending the Press Conference gave me the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with many alumni who are currently working in journalism in various fields. Hearing their stories and experiences has provided me with a lot of practical knowledge.”
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, visited the exhibition booth and congratulated the faculty and students of the Institute of Journalism.
 
The atmosphere at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training's booth was always lively with a series of programs and activities. Many spectacular singing and dancing performances were meticulously prepared by the Institute's students for the Press Conference. In addition, there were Q&A games and prize draws with many attractive gifts. The Institute's colors were also clearly displayed with uniforms provided for its members.
The exhibition booth of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training always attracts a great deal of attention.
 
 
Many outstanding artistic performances by students of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training were presented at the Press Festival.
 
The National Press Conference is also a major event, providing practical experience for the Institute's students. Many young photographers prepared their equipment and played the role of real reporters to capture impressive images of the conference.

At the opening ceremony on the morning of March 17th, the Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Le Quoc Minh, emphasized that the 2023 National Press Conference aims to honor the great achievements of Vietnamese journalism, promote products associated with the activities and creative work of journalists nationwide; strengthen exchanges and meetings between journalists nationwide and the public; encourage journalism to perform its functions and tasks well, meeting the increasingly high information needs of the people. At the same time, it contributes to enhancing the role, position, and prestige of the Vietnam Journalists Association in social life in general. This is also an opportunity to commend the contributions of organizations and individuals to the revolutionary journalism cause of the whole country.

The Press Association has many meaningful activities related to politics, society, and the profession for its members, creating a distinctive highlight in professional activities. These include the National Journalism Award Reunion Seminar; the AI ​​and Content Creation Management Workshop in Newsrooms; the Launch Ceremony of the 2023 Journalism Award for Promoting Energy Saving and Efficiency; the Seminar on Youth Creativity and Proactiveness in Digital Transformation; the Seminar on Training and Professional Development in Journalism According to Needs; the Final Round of the 2023 Expanded Journalists' Singing Contest; the 2nd Journalists & Public Opinion Cup Football Tournament; the "Journalists' Pathways of Spring" Exhibition; the "Past Spring" Exhibition in Tet Newspapers… along with elaborately staged and unique artistic programs by the Youth Theatre.
At the "AI and Content Creation Management in Newsrooms" workshop on the morning of March 18th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - served as a guest speaker; Dr. Phan Van Kien - Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, and Dr. Do Anh Duc - Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, were the experts participating in the discussion.
The 2023 National Press Conference took place over three days, from March 17-19, at the Hanoi Museum (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi).
