Opening Ceremony of Courses 92 and 118 on National Defense and Security Education for Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

In accordance with the training plan between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the Center for National Defense and Security Education (Center) regarding the teaching of the subject of National Defense and Security Education (NDSE) to students of the QH2021 cohort, the Opening Ceremony of Courses 92 and 118 on NDSE for the University's students took place on the morning of August 15th in Hoa Lac.
Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), representatives from the Student Affairs Department and the Training Department of the University; Colonel Duong Van Chien - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Center, Lecturer of the Political Science Faculty, and a large number of teachers and staff of the Center. The course included 1878 students currently enrolled in the regular program at the University.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' leadership, Associate Professor Dang Thi Thu Huong delivered a speech encouraging all students participating in the National Defense and Security Education course. The faculty expressed confidence that all students would overcome initial difficulties and uncertainties to complete the course with the best possible results, contributing to promoting the image of Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities students: disciplined, orderly, compassionate, and humane.

Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Colonel Duong Van Chien warmly welcomed the university's students participating in the 2023 National Defense and Security Education course, and shared some information about the political role and significance, as well as some key contents of the course. The course content not only cultivates strong political resolve, fosters love for the homeland and country, and a sense of responsibility in building and protecting the nation, but also provides an opportunity for students to develop discipline, camaraderie, sharing, and a spirit of overcoming difficulties. Colonel Duong Van Chien shared that students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have consistently excelled in all previous courses with the highest sense of responsibility. Therefore, he expressed confidence that with this course, the students will continue to uphold that tradition, gain much useful knowledge, and have truly enjoyable experiences during their studies and training at the Center.
On the part of the Center, the teachers, staff, and employees will demonstrate the highest level of responsibility to support and create all the necessary conditions to help the students complete their studies in the best possible way.

On behalf of the 1878 students participating in the course, Dao Thanh Thuy (a student from the K65 High-Quality Program, Faculty of Management Science) shared: "We are very aware of the role and significance of the subject on National Defense and Security Education. It not only helps us to further cultivate our knowledge and strong political stance, but also helps to foster love for our homeland and the responsibility of the younger generation towards building and protecting the country. Moreover, this is also a time when we study, live, and interact together, which will be a valuable opportunity to increase solidarity, closeness, and sharing among students in the school. We promise to study and train with the utmost seriousness and enthusiasm to excellently complete the course content."
