Nguyen Trung Duc (Postgraduate student, cohort QH-2019-X, majoring in Archival Studies, Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management) gave a speech representing the graduating students.

I am proud to be studying in an educational and academic environment with a rich historical tradition, that is modern and professional.

The Japanese have a saying: "Ichigo Ichie" (一期一会 –Once in a while, once in a while. We can understand this idiom to mean: "Every encounter is precious, because it will never be repeated." For us, those who have had and are having the opportunity to study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, we consider this a precious "destiny." This destiny has connected strangers into acquaintances, linking independent fields of knowledge into a rich interdisciplinary body of knowledge. In particular, this destiny connects the aspirations and dreams of countless students with their own goals in the present and future.
Whenever we talk about our school to family, friends, colleagues, or when we have the opportunity to participate in professional activities, we are very proud that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, not only has a rich historical tradition but also a systematic and professional way of organizing and operating its training and education processes. With our learning experiences at the University, we feel confident and place our full trust in a broad and independent scientific path here: "Humanities as the foundation, modernity as the trend."

It was a learning journey filled with difficulties and challenges, but also incredibly rewarding experiences!

The past two years have been a difficult and challenging time for both our nation and the world as we faced the dangers of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, these difficulties did not dampen the spirits of the teachers and students of the school; instead, they made us stronger and more resilient to confront all challenges in life. During my two years of master's studies, I had the opportunity to interact with and learn from beloved teachers, senior colleagues, and friends from many places, working in various agencies and fields. We were able to update our knowledge in line with the evolving economic, political, and social landscape in the digital age.
I truly miss the exciting evening classes and weekend sessions filled with the profound knowledge that our professors imparted to us. I will never forget the special online classes and thesis defenses during the intense Covid-19 months. We thought we would be distant because we could only meet online through computer screens, but after experiencing it, we realized that during those days of studying and working from home, we spent more time together, and in this way, everything became closer and more connected. That is perhaps a "special connection" that only the students of the QH-2018-X and QH-2019-X cohorts like us got to experience.

Teachers are not only transmitters of knowledge but also instill inspiration, passion, and a noble spirit of humanism.

At this moment, I believe that the memories of the past two or three years of study are still playing slowly in the minds of each student attending today's Graduation Ceremony. Two or three years have been a precious journey, and now, each of us is about to hold in our hands the sacred master's degree, the culmination of a long process of hard work and effort. However, with the fruits of that hard work and effort, we would first like to dedicate this achievement to the University and to the teachers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
On behalf of my fellow graduate students receiving their master's degrees today, I would like to express our deepest and most sincere gratitude to the University's leadership; the leaders of the Faculties, Institutes, and Departments; the lecturers of the University's and Faculty's Postgraduate Training Departments; the various departments within the University; and especially to the entire team of supervising lecturers. You have always shown us care and guidance whenever we needed it, and have been by our side through most of the time and circumstances.
Thank you to the teachers who have guided and imparted knowledge with such enthusiasm and a high sense of responsibility. Teachers are not only mentors but also close friends, always ready to discuss, share knowledge, and improve their professional skills with their students. The essential thing is to ensure that students can apply that knowledge to their professional work and practical research.

Hanoi University of Humanities remains the top choice for further studies at higher levels.

No matter where we go or what we do in the future, we will always be proud to be a part of Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The respected yet approachable image of our teachers has left a beautiful and profound impression on generations of students like us. On the road ahead, we will continuously strive to apply the knowledge we have learned from the University to our work and lives, affirming and spreading to society the positive values of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Pioneering – Creative – High Quality – High Standard.
Finally, as a farewell message today, I would like to share with you, my fellow graduates, a piece of advice from Albert Einstein that I deeply appreciate: "Don't just strive to be successful, but strive to be valuable." I believe that with passionate hearts in our work and lives, with the knowledge we have cultivated at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and with the difficulties and challenges we have faced, no matter how much life changes, as long as we keep striving, we will certainly become more complete, more valuable, and more successful. We also believe and hope that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to accompany us in our higher education.
