Enrollment scale: The first year of opening the major (2024) will enroll 50 students; From the second year onwards, the enrollment will be about 60-80 students.
Knowledge and skills system
Students of Cinema and Popular Arts at VNU-USSH will be equipped with a system of knowledge including general knowledge, field-specific knowledge, industry-specific knowledge, industry-specific knowledge and industry-specific knowledge to have comprehensive and systematic knowledge of cinema, arts and social sciences and humanities.
In which, the knowledge block by industry group and the industry knowledge block focus on knowledge directly related to the field of cinema and popular arts such as: Popular arts in the digital age, Overview of cinema and television genres, Overview of world cinema history, Korean and Japanese popular culture, Narrative, virtual reality and digital technology, Popular music, Contemporary visual arts, Contemporary theater and performance arts, Cinema drama in creating multimedia works, Vietnamese cinema and world cinema, Film curator and art curator, Film screenwriter, Film director, film editing, filming, Sitcom, TV series and reality TV, Research, film criticism, Art communication, Management of film projects and film funds, Film production and storage organization, etc.
In addition, students will be trained in professional and complementary skills necessary for careers related to cinema and art.
