During their working visit to the Russian Federation, the delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (from April 15 to 20, 2024) attended the 2nd Vietnam-Russia University Rectors Forum, held on April 18, 2024, at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, the largest university in the Russian Federation, home to 11 Nobel Prize-winning alumni and faculty members, and 6 Fields Prize recipients.
The event was attended by Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam; Dang Minh Khoi, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation; Viktor Sadovnichy, President of the Association of Rectors of Russian Universities and Rector of MGU; and representatives from nearly 40 universities in the Russian Federation and 21 universities in Vietnam.

At the forum, delegates discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and education, exchanged outstanding experiences and practices, and signed documents aimed at deepening humanitarian cooperation between Vietnamese and Russian universities in the fields of education, science, and technology.
Delegates expressed confidence that the results achieved at this Forum will create momentum and open up important steps in comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the field of education and training, contributing to elevating the long-standing, loyal, and profound relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation to a new level.
As one of the leading training institutions in the field of social sciences and humanities, with a tradition spanning over 80 years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has signed cooperation agreements with several partner universities and research institutes in the Russian Federation for research, training, academic exchange, and Vietnamese language teaching. Over the years, many faculty members of the University have studied in Russia, and annually the University of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomes many professors, experts, and students from Russia to teach, research, and study.
The results of the cooperation are commendable but not yet commensurate with the potential and strengths of both sides. Therefore, at the Forum, the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed their desire and expectation to promote cooperation between VNU-USSH and Russian partners in a more in-depth, practical, and effective manner.
