Promoting student exchange and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Thailand
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice Rector of the school shared: Universities in Thailand such as Udon Thani Royal Rajabhat University, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, etc. are all long-term partners of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Thanh Truong expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Panupat Chavananikul and the delegation of the Thai Embassy in Hanoi to visit and work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. With the orientation of enhancing international cooperation in training and scientific research, the school has many opportunities to cooperate with universities in Thailand in exchanging students, lecturers and co-researchers. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Thanh Truong hopes that the visit of Mr. Panupat Chavananikul and the delegation of the Thai Embassy will be a bridge to promote the academic exchange relationship between the two countries to develop further.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed programs and opportunities to expand cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and academic institutions in Thailand.

Mr. Panupat Chavananikul - Counselor of the Thai Embassy in Hanoi affirmed: The student exchange between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and its partners in Thailand has strengthened the friendly relationship between the two countries. Accordingly, the Thai Embassy in Hanoi hopes that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will organize more student exchange programs, practical internships, and expand relationships with many academic institutions and research institutes in Thailand in the future.

The exciting but no less warm atmosphere, the smiles given and the hugs received between Vietnamese and Thai students contributed to the success of the “Thai Cultural Festival”, the moments that make the Songkran festival truly humane and complete.

Songkran Thai Water Festivalis the traditional Thai New Year, which takes place in April every year. Songkran is a celebration marking the beginning of the Thai New Year, symbolizing washing away bad luck, getting rid of worries and fatigue in the old year, and bringing good luck and happiness in the new year. The festival was included in the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 6, 2023.
