At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan shared: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is always proud to be a close partner with many research and training institutions in Korea. VNU-USSH is the first university in Vietnam to research and train Korean Studies at both undergraduate and master's levels. Each year, the Korean Studies Department, under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, trains 60 students; the university's lecturers study and research at many major universities in Korea, conveying to students a passion for learning and researching the language, culture, and history of the beautiful "land of Kimchi". VNU-USSH students always receive special attention and are sought after by Korean employers. This is an affirmation of the university's reputation in training high-quality human resources.
The Korean Ambassador to Vietnam shared that coming to Hanoi University of Humanities was a "train" that took him back to memories of his past student days.
Expressing his excitement at having the opportunity to visit and work with the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and directly interact with VNU-USSH students, Mr. Choi Young Sam emphasized: Vietnam and Korea have recently made strong progress in exchanges in technology, engineering, and economics, but the values of cultural and social exchanges are essential factors to develop relations between the two countries.
Therefore, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities plays an extremely important role in contributing to academic exchange, teaching and research cooperation, promoting cultural exchange and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.

Mr. Choi Young Sam pledged to always accompany the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, connecting the school with many universities and research institutions in Korea, as well as introducing more Korean guest lecturers to work and research at the school. Korean Ambassador Choi Young Sam also expressed his hope that the school will create conditions and pay special attention to Korean international students who are studying and will study in the future.
After a friendly meeting with representatives of the Board of Directors and school leaders, Mr. Choi Young Sam had a discussion with students of the Korean Studies Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
At the meeting, Mr. Choi Young Sam shared with the students information about the Vietnam - Korea relationship as well as the prospects for cooperation and exchange between the two countries. The Korean Ambassador was particularly impressed with the rich knowledge of the students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and their special interest and understanding of the outstanding aspects of cooperation between the two countries today such as AI technology or semiconductors.
