The workshop aims to contribute to improving the quality of training and scientific research for young staff and postgraduate students; applying learned knowledge to research specific professional issues; creating a professional foundation and research skills for further study and research (theses, dissertations); enhancing the quality of training and self-training, with the goal of developing high-quality human resources, identifying and nurturing potential scientific staff. The workshop also aims to create an academic atmosphere among young staff and postgraduate students, contributing to the development of a research university.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the University) delivered the opening speech.
Opening the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) shared that this conference is a special occasion for young teachers and postgraduate students to nurture and develop their inspiration and passion for research, as well as to inherit and promote the achievements and intellectual traditions that previous generations of the University have built and developed.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong directly chaired the workshop.
The Vice Rector expressed his hope that the upcoming workshops would bring together more research that adapts to the trend of international integration and the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He also hoped that young faculty members would work alongside the University to further develop interdisciplinary and applied research, linking the spirit of humanities with a faster, more far-reaching, and sustainable development path for scientific research activities.
Dr. Le Thi Vinh (Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) presented the report.
The conference received 16 papers, all original research papers in the field of social sciences and humanities, selected from research results in theses and dissertations since the call for submissions was sent in April 2021. The evaluation and selection committee chose 6 papers of the highest quality to be presented at the conference:
1. Equality in education from the perspective of John Dewey - Le Thi Vinh.
2. Applying Ho Chi Minh's perspective on intrinsic strength in educating entrepreneurial thinking for current students - Tran Truong Gia Bao.
3. The religious issues of some ethnic groups in Vietnam today - Pham Thu Trang.
4. Religious and belief characteristics of Long Tien Pagoda in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province - Pham Hong Gam.
5. Rescue operations for foreigners at sea during the Nguyen Dynasty: economic benefits and the establishment of maritime sovereignty - Pham Thi Thom.
6. The concept of faith in Soren Kierkegaard's existential philosophy - Nguyen Duy Tuan.
