The Department of History of the Communist Party of Vietnam offers master's and doctoral programs in Party History.

Từ năm 1988, theo chủ trương của Nhà trường, Tổ LSĐ của Bộ môn Mác- Lênin, trực thuộc Trường giải thể, các giáo viên được chuyển về bổ sung vào Bộ môn LSĐ của Khoa Lịch sử. Từ đây, Bộ môn LSĐ đồng thời đảm nhận hai chức năng, hai nhiệm vụ quan trọng: Chức năng của Bộ môn LSĐ thuộc Khoa Lịch sử, có nhiệm vụ nghiên cứu, đào tạo cử nhân LSĐ theo chương trình, giáo trình của Khoa lịch sử; và chức năng của Bộ môn Mác- Lênin, tư tưởng Hồ Chí Minh, có nhiệm vụ dạy môn LSĐtheo chương trình, giáo trình của Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo cho sinh viên các khoa, các ngành không chuyên sử.

Đến năm 1990, Bộ môn LSĐ được giao thêm nhiệm vụ đào tạo tiến sĩ và thạc sĩ chuyên ngành LSĐ.

Từ tháng 10- 2013, Trung tâm Đào tạo bồi dưỡng giảng viên lý luận chính trị (TTĐTBDGVLLCT) thuộc Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội (ĐHQGHN) giải thể, các giáo viên Bộ môn LSĐ của Trung tâm chuyển về công tác tại Bộ môn LSĐ của Khoa Lịch sử. Theo đó, Bộ môn LSĐ của Khoa Lịch sử vừa dạy môn Đường lối cách mạng của Đảng cho sinh viên toàn ĐHQGHN vừa đào tạo cử nhân, ThS, TS chuyên ngành LSĐ.

Đến nay (2017), trải qua hơn 43 năm xây dựng, phấn đấu, Bộ môn LSĐ của Khoa Lịch sử  đã đạt được nhiều thành tựu đáng trân trọng.

Thứ nhất,đã xây dựng được một đội ngũ cán bộ cóphẩm chất tư cách tốt, tư tưởng đúng đắn, bản lĩnh chính trị vững vàng, trình độ chuyên môn cao. Hiện tại, Bộ môn có 8 giáo viên cơ hữu, gồm 4 PGS.TS.GVCC (Ngô Đăng Tri, Vũ Quang Hiển, Lê Văn Thịnh, Nguyễn Thị Mai Hoa), 3 TS (Lê Thị Quỳnh Nga, Phạm Thị Lương Diệu, Đỗ Thị Thanh Loan), 1 ThS.NCS (Phạm Minh Thế).

In addition, the Department also hasquan hệ hợp tác, phối hợp đào tạo, nghiên cứu với các cơ sở có liên quan đến LSĐ như: Viện Lịch sử Đảng, Viện Hồ Chí Minh, Viện xây dựng Đảng, Viện Quan hệ quốc tế (thuộc Học viện Chính trị Quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh, Khoa Lịch sử Đảng(Học viện Chính trị-Bộ Quốc phòng); Khoa Lịch sử Đảng (Học viện Báo chí & Tuyên truyền), Khoa Lịch sử Đảng (Học viện chính trị quốc gia Khu vực 1), Khoa Lịch sử (Trường Đại học Sư phạm Hà Nội 1 và 2),Viện Sử học, Viện lịch sử Quân sự, Viện Nghiên cứu quốc tế (Bộ ngoại giao)… và với hơn 50 nhà khoa học có uy tín, chuyên sâu về LSĐ, Tư tưởng Hồ Chí Minh, lịch sử Việt Nam, lịch sử thế giới, lịch sử quân sự,…trong và ngoài ĐHQGHN.

Secondly, it has been built.We have developed training programs and trained a large number of qualified personnel with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in the field of Legal Studies, with good quality.As of 2017, the Department of Party History had trained nearly 1,000 bachelors, over 600 masters, and nearly 80 doctors specializing in Party History, and participated in training and professional development for Party History teachers for the Ministry of Education and Training (including at the Center). Graduates from the Department of Party History, including bachelors, masters, doctors, and teachers, have made positive contributions to society, especially in teaching the subject of the History of the Communist Party of Vietnam (the revolutionary line of the Communist Party of Vietnam) at universities and colleges nationwide.

Thirdly, they have achieved many accomplishments in scientific research.Faculty members of the Department of History have published over 700 research papers (both individual and collaborative). Among them, Associate Professor Le Mau Han has over 30 papers and research projects; Associate Professor Ngo Dang Tri has published over 60 books; and Associate Professor Vu Quang Hien has published over 150 articles…

Wednesday,Emphasis has been placed on exchanges, research, and field trips both domestically and internationally.Every year, in addition to a field trip for fourth-year History majors, since 1991, with the support of the Party Committee, the School's Board of Directors, and the Faculty of History, the History Department has organized a field trip for teachers (during the summer) to countries such as China, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, etc.; or Phu Quoc, Con Dao, Dien Bien, Ca Mau, the Central Highlands, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Tay Ninh, An Giang, etc. Many teachers from the Department have attended scientific conferences and advanced training programs in France, Germany, Russia, Australia, the United States, Thailand, South Korea, etc.

Through continuous efforts and dedication, the lecturers of the Department have received various awards.titleHonorable recipients include: People's Teacher (Le Mau Han), Meritorious Teacher (Ngo Dang Tri), Third-Class Labor Medal (Le Mau Han, Ngo Dang Tri, Vu Quang Hien, Nguyen Huy Cat...). The Department of Party History has received Certificates of Merit from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Prime Minister.Third-class Labor Medalof the President of the Republic.

Upcoming,when the subject of Party History is taught again.In universities and colleges, the task of training bachelor's, master's, and doctoral graduates, as well as providing professional development for lecturers in the subject of Party History, is certainly important.,The teaching of Party History by the Department will increase.
