The first important milestone to mention is that in 2011, a number of students were summoned by the University's Student Union to form a team to participate in the 2011 National Student Arts, Sports and Culture Competition (U-league). On September 21, 2012, the Rumbo Cheerleading Club was officially established and has been operating continuously to this day.
Initially, the team operated in extremely difficult conditions, lacking both material equipment and expertise. Understanding this, the University's Student Union invited Mr. Quynh from...Center for Physical Education and SportsThe Vietnam National University, Hanoi, served as the coach, and also enlisted the help of a foreign female aerobics instructor to improve the team's guidance.
Although the formation process was somewhat rushed, the team's achievements are undeniable. In 2011, their very first year in the U-league, the Rumbo Cheerleading Club won second place in the Northern region and continued to maintain their strong performance the following year.

2013 marked another breakthrough when the Rumbo Cheerleading Club surpassed the Foreign Trade University, the top contender for the Cheerleading championship in the Northern region, to claim the top spot. Following that victory, Rumbo happily brought home a Bronze Medal in the National Student Arts, Sports, and Culture Competition Finals.
In the early days of 2014, the team brought good news to all students and the school by winning 4th place in the Ho Chi Minh City Cheerleading competition. These are extremely encouraging signs of the Rumbo Club's future success.
Sharing his plans for the team's future development, Phan Thanh Nam, the club's chairman, said: "The whole team is still practicing weekly to become a more professional cheerleading club in the future, and we regularly participate in competitions to gain more experience. Currently, the club is also trying to train new talents to create a generation of young and talented cheerleaders, hoping for positive results soon."
"Maintaining their current form and further improving their professional skills" is all Rumbo needs right now. Let's look forward to more good news from the Rumbo Cheerleading Club and the team's further development in the future.
