The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is not only renowned for its rich history but also for its leading role in youth union movements, student associations, volunteer activities, and social work. This is largely due to the strong development and dedicated efforts of numerous clubs such as: the Student Volunteer Shock Team, the Social Work Club, the Hoa Da Club, the Rumbo Cheerleading Team, the Sol Club (Art Club), and Anglo The Club (English Club).

Actively involved in social activities.

True to its name, "Social Sciences and Humanities," the School always prioritizes social activities, exemplified by the establishment of: the Social Work Club, the Hoa Da Club, and the Student Volunteer Shock Team.

Established in 2007 with the motto: "Dare to Act," the Social Work Team operates to assist vulnerable groups and those in difficult circumstances in society. With enthusiasm, the team organizes annual volunteer campaigns such as "Warm Winter in Ha Giang" and "Square Tet." In addition, on special occasions, team members skillfully create many beautiful products to sell, raising funds for future volunteer activities. Perhaps it is this spirit of serving society and the community, this volunteerism in each member, that has enabled the Social Work Team to overcome numerous difficulties, from financial constraints to harsh weather conditions in remote areas, to successfully complete its mission and bring joy and warmth to those less fortunate.

While also engaging in social activities, the Hoa Da Club focuses on people with disabilities, including disabled students at the university. Hoa Da's mission is to assist its disabled members through activities such as academic support, creating a beneficial environment for them, helping them find joy in life, forget their personal losses, and contribute to the community. 2013 was a successful year for Hoa Da (Stone Flower), as the club organized many events such as: volunteering to teach intellectually disabled students at the Thanh Xuan Disabled Association, selling goods to raise funds at the "Sunflower Festival" to support child cancer patients, selling and donating clothes and milk powder to disabled children at the Huong La Charity House in Bac Ninh, coordinating with the Hanoi Disabled Youth Association to organize training on positive thinking skills and preventing sexual abuse for people with disabilities,… And most importantly, the major program "Journey of Stone Blooming into Flowers" in April 2013 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the club's founding. At Hoa Da, there is no discrimination whether you are disabled or not, as Mr. Hien – the team leader of Hoa Da – shared:Stone flowers help me to...As I grew more mature and stronger, I learned from each of the members and from Hoa Da that: "No matter what, I am a..."People with and without disabilities are all equal; every member is a part of Hoa Da."

The Student Volunteer Shock Team is a team under the management and direction of the Youth Union - Student Association of the University. The team participates in any activity initiated by the Youth Union and Student Association. In addition, the team also organizes several major activities on behalf of the Youth Union - Student Association, such as blood donation drives in April and November each year, and the Exam Support Campaign in July. Joining the Shock Team means experiencing dynamism, enthusiasm, and passion; each member possesses youthful energy, unafraid of difficulties or hardships, and always ready for volunteer work. As the team leader and a member of the Shock Team, Ngo Minh Duy shared:TrBefore joining the team, he was very quiet, very shy, and especially lacked communication skills and teamwork abilities. That's right. But when he joined the team, he felt more confident.Thank you very much, I was able to talk to you.More people, better communication, and also more enthusiasm and boldness in all tasks."In the near future, the team will continue to organize the humanitarian blood donation program in April."

…And full of talent

Besides clubs strong in social activities, the University Student Union also has clubs specializing in various fields such as: Sol Club, Rumbo Cheerleading team, Anglo The Club (English club).

Founded in 2010 for those passionate about singing, Sol achieved remarkable success in 2013 with a long list of awards, including: First Prize in the 2013 Hanoi Student Singing Contest, First Prize in the qualifying round of the 2013 Student Song Journey, and Top 10 best performances nationwide in the "Student Song Journey" program. In addition, Sol also participated in performances at events such as: the 2013 Talent and Humanity Awards, the 25th anniversary of the National Border Guard Day, and the 55th anniversary of the Border Guard Force's Traditional Day. With their burning passion for singing, the members of Sol Club, in addition to their club activities, also independently explore creative performance methods such as the Cup Song trend.

While Sol is a destination for those passionate about singing, the Rumbo Cheerleading team focuses on cheerleading. The club's main mission is to create a sports training environment within the school, supporting school activities such as cheering at football tournaments, other performances, and representing the school in the annual Student Arts and Culture Competition. Recently, Rumbo has achieved several notable successes, including: First Prize in the Northern Region Student Arts and Culture Competition, Third Prize in the National Finals, and Fourth Prize in the Ho Chi Minh City Cheerleading Competition in early 2014. In the near future, we will see Rumbo again in the opening ceremonies of the Women's Football Tournament at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as a friendly Cheerleading competition in Hanoi.

Finally, let's move on to Anglo The Club. With the mission of creating an environment where students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities can use English and practice their language skills naturally and enthusiastically, the club organizes activities every other Monday with interesting themes and games, creating opportunities for participants to practice speaking English comfortably. Members don't need to be proficient in English; they just need to be enthusiastic, willing to speak and play, and genuinely want to improve their English speaking skills. The club will continue to organize activities with themes such as: "The Scent of March," "Humanities in My Heart,"… and prepare for the English Olympiad.

Hopefully, with the successes already achieved and the plans for the future, the clubs will continue to develop even further.
