Dear Humanities students!
3 weeks since the teaching and learning of USSH teachers and students moved to the "Online Safety Zone", everything can be said to be running very smoothly.
The confusion of teachers and students in the early days of being surprised by the strange functions of diverse teaching platforms has been resolved; the overload of some technology platforms has been resolved.
In the surprise and sometimes "confusion" of the first days of broadcasting, students are the ones who have to work harder: when teachers use 1-2 platforms to teach, it means that students may have to "combat" on 5-7 different technology platforms because they often study many subjects with many different teachers.
However, it is an easily recognizable fact that students often adapt faster than their teachers, a surprise that is not difficult to understand for the 10x generation, which is dynamic and loves technology! Congratulations to the students and thank you for always sharing with the teachers and the School!

Also in the past 3 weeks, the school has received regular feedback from students about their learning conditions. One extremely encouraging thing is that up to now, nearly 8,000 students of the school are still absolutely safe; they still keep in regular contact via email, group chats... with teachers and functional departments.
I hope you continue to follow the instructions to prevent the epidemic well and continue to study effectively in the coming period.
Most of the Humanities students are currently in Hanoi (estimated at over 90%), so the learning conditions are quite good (strong internet, convenient access to VNU's LIC digital library), although living is sometimes difficult due to limited space.
A small number (less than 10%) of students who have returned home are currently facing some difficulties in their study conditions (lack of internet, wifi or weak 3-4G network).
Dear students! The viewpoint of the entire education sector as well as the School is to not leave any student behind in the online teaching process to respond to the epidemic.
The school encourages students to try to overcome difficulties to attend classes (although sometimes the connection quality in the countryside is not good) because after each online class with teachers, students still have the opportunity to review the lecture videos if teachers use professional teaching platforms, and read more learning materials provided by teachers.
In case you cannot attend class due to force majeure (lack of equipment, no internet), please email the school to notify the situation. The school will arrange for you to study with the next classes; you do not have to worry about being considered for academic failure due to lack of minimum credits for this semester!
Before concluding the letter, on behalf of the teachers, I would like to update some official information and figures so that you can rest assured about the school's activities: more than 300 wonderful teachers of USSH are organizing more than 800 courses for about 40,000 students to continue studying online in the coming weeks.
More happily, on March 23, the Minister of Education and Training signed Document 988 to recognize online learning results and on March 27, the Director of VNU issued Document 944 to provide detailed instructions for this item.
Early next week, the teachers of the Training Department will email you the detailed content of the school's study and testing and assessment guidelines so that you can study with peace of mind. With the efforts and clear policies, we will definitely succeed!
Trend forecaster Li Edelkoort has just commented that during and after the covid-19 pandemic, “the ability to improvise and be creative will be the most valuable assets”.
Over the past 60 years, generations of General/Humanities (University) students have demonstrated their great improvisation, and now it's time for the 2K generation USSHers to demonstrate their bravery, talent and creativity!
Wishing you good health and peace through the epidemic season with lots of joy in life and success in your studies!
