At the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic assistance and support of the Ambassador and the Japanese Embassy in developing the Japanese Studies program at the University, as well as in building friendly relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Thanks to this enthusiastic support, many students of the University have received postgraduate scholarships at top Japanese universities; gained in-depth knowledge of Japanese culture and traditional art through classes in tea ceremony, calligraphy, etc., taught directly by Japanese artisans who came to Vietnam... In November 2019, with the connection of the Japanese Embassy, the University signed an academic exchange cooperation agreement with the Network of National Humanities Research Institutions of Japan. This network includes six Japanese research institutions: the National Museum of History of Japan, the National Institute of Literature of Japan, the National Institute of Language and Linguistics of Japan, the International Center for Japanese Studies, the Institute for Human and Natural Sciences, and the National Museum of Ethnology. Based on this document, the two sides will conduct joint research cooperation activities, human resource training, and exchanges between researchers in the social sciences and humanities across various disciplines such as history, literature, linguistics, culture, etc.

The Rector sends his best wishes for good health and success to the Ambassador and his family in the years to come.
